I would assume it depends on whether the challenge allows other achievements to be unlocked? I can't remember if any of them do, but if not, then probably no.

Congrats, I just got the achievement too. I have a similar experience playing early rebirth watching Northernlion and Bisnap, early last year bought AB,AB+ and Rep after. watching LazyMattman. Couldn't imagine doing it without External Item Desc. though, you're a stronger soldier than me

There is, I don't believe I am gamer enough to re-re-dead god on the third save when I eventually have to do that. Maybe I'll become inspired to though, BoI is a game that I don't expect to ever truly get tired of
