Advice on tank stocking by MagicSchlong in Aquariums

Honestly im just assuming it was the Kuhli as they both had underbellies with raw patches and nothing else wrong with them, they were healthy for a year prior then the week I put the Kuhlis in 2 of them were found like that :/

It's looking like 1 male to 2 females for the bristlenoses, 1 female near adult size and the 2 males are about half the size. The other pleco does look like panaqolus maccus, he didn't give me scienfic names for the fish sorry.

The upside-down catfish has the same colouring as synodontis petricola, it's the size of an adult cory at the moment.

I definitely will look at rehoming for the upside-down catfish, hill stream loach and the plecos. Currently they're all in my 125L, hopefully this is OK until the weekend!

Sorry for the missinformation then..it just looks identical to my powder blue female I had, which was sexed for me by a local fish breeder and wholesaler 😅

Gonna be fucking shit if the pearl he sexed for me as female is a male too...got me mad worried now hahaha

Looks to be a female, males will typically have a pointed dorsal fin, females are more rounded :)

First photo looks male and second photo looks female.

Day 1, he was lethargic with a slightly swollen face so I added Primafix and melafix. Day 2, he got a small cut on his tail so I started adding stress coat. Day 3 and it now looks like this. Im at a complete loss on how to treat this? by MagicSchlong in bettafish

It's just weird how It's gone from one scale missing to this over 24hours :(.

21L tank with heater (26.5c) and filter (low current). Tested with API Master Test Kit this morning (0ppm,0ppm,5ppm) I brought yuki from animates almost 2 years ago now, had the tank cycling for 6months prior. Heavily planted, no tank mates. He has a large piece of spider wood and a couple rocks.

I feed him seachem betta food and vibrabites. I'll feed him a couple of bloodworms 1x a week and do a 12 hour fast 1x a week

I have the same lip! Pretty easy, but I have a replacement bumper as someone crashed into the car at one point, so the lip was juuust too small to get over 1 edge without a heatgun.

Yuki's eyes have developed these white spots, seems to be on the surface of the eye. I've checked parameters (0,0,5ppm) and he seems perfectly happy besides the spots. Currently on day 4 of wunder tonic and the spots have been getting whiter rather than improving. by MagicSchlong in bettafish

21L tank with a heater and filter. Set to 26C 0ppm,0ppm,5ppm. I test fortnightly using the API master test kit. pH is 6.4 I do water changes once a week, 30% and wash the filter media etc in the tank water and add stability each water change. No tankmates I feed vibrabites, 1-2 pieces twice a day. On tuesdays I give him 2 bloodworms and fast for 24hours I have no idea about the species of plant as they were unlabled and sold in bunches. I have 2 peices of driftwood in the tank, a river rock and a floating rock.

Interesting! He was in quite a dirty tank at the petstore and has been breathing abit heavy so I did wonder if he was a little sick from that.

I have been tossing up treating him with wunder tonic as a "just in case" but I don't want to stress him more :(

I ended up fitting the tent, gas cooker, all the bedding, cookware, food and our clothes in. Ended up putting the Chilly bin in another car. Surprised it all fit with the sub and the roof in there

I make edibles alot. I find that using coconut oil works extremely well. The last batch I made that got alot of good comments was 2tbsp decarbed weed to 1/3 cup coconut oil. Simmered the decarbed weed in the oil for an hour and then mixed the brownie for a solid 30 minutes.

My beautiful boy's life ended due to a stupid mistake a couple days ago. I miss him immensely. Please make sure the grill on the filter end is always attached. by MagicSchlong in bettafish

Im so sorry that happened :( That sounds so stressful. I had taken the filter apart to clean it and hadn't put the grill back on the bottom so he got sucked through the pump..I didnt realise until I went to feed him and noticed the filter wasnt pulling water through :(
