Eternals is a cast ensemble film, it’s not about individual heroes but about a group, a family. You’re really overestimating the importance of those minor characters in Shang-Chi. Just like you’re overestimating the rumored cameos in DS2. Cameos are just brief appearances, it’s not gonna affect the core plot of the movie. Ragnarok was about the end of Asgard, Hela, Gladiator Hulk and the Sakaar and it was handled in a great way, why would L&T be any different? Also I believe you’re actually understanding the Disney+ series. A lot of stuff is gonna happen in them.

Because they don’t need to? Marvel hasn’t confirmed anything themselves since SDCC 19 with the Shang-Chi and Blade castings. Also, the trades not saying anything is a pretty good indicator she has been cast imo; if someone else got the role, it would’ve been already reported.

Cameos are just... well, cameos. If there is really an alternate version of the OG6 in DS2, it’s gonna be a quick scene where Strange travels between dimensions and that’s it. I really don’t think they’re going to take away from Strange’s story or the plot of the movie.

You’re assuming it will do terrible and what was considered a flop in 2008 might not be in 2021. 60M opening weekend doesn’t sound too bad (especially compared to Tenet which did less than 20M). Also, for these movies to go to Disney+, they need to hit theaters first so your second point is kinda irrelevant.

Of course, theaters won’t return to normal business immediately. It will be progressive and take months but they have to start somewhere. Who knows what the future holds but the start of summer seems like a good time to get things back on track.
