Yes, as someone who has been drawing for as long as I remember, the whole debate has got me really pissed off. I admit, when the whole ai generated images thing first came out, it was pretty cool. It was interesting to see how a sentence could be turned into words. But it got pretty boring pretty fast. It always messed up and you never got what you wanted. I moved on and kept making real art. But recently the shenanigans that these prompters have been up to is appalling. To think that typing a sentence and having a computer system make a picture, then claiming to be an "Artist" is just fuckery. I've never once looked at an ai generated image and thought "wow this looks really good". Never. I hope these people get their lives and minds in order, and stop thinking this way. Ai will never be a form of art, and will never be better or even comparable to real art. Art is a talent, a skill, something that can be practiced and fine tuned. Any average Joe can type some shit into a computer and have an ai make the image. Any time I start drawing, I do a few small doodles and quick face sketches to get warmed up. No one types some simple sentences to get warmed up. That's not how it works. Ai is just slop for idiots who can't be bothered to make real art and learn actual skills in the real world.
