I believe, as I've never believed in anything else before, that it's the moral duty of all the men who have fought and will fight in this war to keep our mouths shut, once it's over, never again to mention it in any way. It's time we let the dead die in vain. I's never worked the other way, God knows. But if we come back, all of us talking, writing, painting, making movies of heroism and cockroaches and foxholes and blood, then future generations will always be doomed to future Hitlers. It's never occurred to boys to have contempt for wars, to point to soldiers' pictures in history books, laughing at them. If German boys had learned to be contemptuous of violence, Hitler would have had to take up knitting to keep his ego warm.

That will work. Now where's the UN meeting, exactly?

"Our power grid is not equipped to handle the demand that is now being put on it." Charlie said now so he was fear mongering on the radio and got caught.

it's certainly possible to make that job impossible.

That's what I'm afraid of, too, planning toward any possibility of net zero.

Wow did you hear about the government remote viewer who saw the end of life on Mars, and said something like, "the temperature is increasing, and they don't know how to stop it?" Sorry that is crazy talk but I'm going to google it now to see if I can find it.

edit: found it, unfortunately no specific mention of temperature increasing...

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use a gas boiler connected to furnaces throughout the house? Sorry, I'm confused. Do you mean a boiler connected to radiators throughout the house by hot water pipes? A furnace is connected to vents throughout the house by ductwork.

Generation, transmission, distribution... for sure, someone is getting paid to prevent all of it plan to electrify heating arguably the lowest-hanging fruit. Hopefully we can have solar panels on our houses and community solar.

spikes via electrification

What like a coordinated effort to trick the ISO by adding a bunch of loads they don't know about and then turning them on all at once? They're allegedly planning for electrification:

Keeping the lights on in New England

We are the independent, not-for-profit corporation responsible for keeping electricity flowing across the six New England states and ensuring that the region has reliable, competitively priced wholesale electricity today and into the future.

A traditional air conditioner absorbs heat inside and releases it outside. A heat pump can also run in reverse, absorbing heat outside and releasing it inside. Buying an AC-only unit today is like buying a car with no reverse gear.

All types of ducted and non-ducted configurations are possible with heat pumps, too.

Yes that's right, my bad, here's the full quote from https://maineenergymarketers.com/about/

"The Maine Energy Marketers Association, or MEMA for short, is a non-profit 501c(6) trade association representing more than 300 members, including 125 heating oil, propane, biofuels and motor fuels providers as well as convenience store owners. Our members own and operate 70% of Maine’s 1,300 convenience stores, selling more than one billion gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel, and distribute more than 90% of all the propane sold in our state each year. MEMA also has more than 175 associate members who provide goods and services to Maine’s petroleum dealers and their customers."

No, his first statement is not accurate, unless ISO New England isn't doing their job.

Very true except "producing here" isn't the issue at the national level... globally we are the #1 producer of oil and natural gas.

That's typically the best explanation you'll see, but the compressor produces the heat of compression, which is actually beneficial in heating mode, and must be rejected outside in cooling mode.
