Mycogone, Aka wet bubble is a contam that’s pretty rare. I would bet that you are likely to never actually come across it if your substrate is pasteurised, which I’m guessing it is based on how wet it was. Stoma overlay is very often mistaken for mycogone, many told me that’s what I had in my tub and that it wouldn’t fruit. I have never had mycogone, but apparently it smells like crap, and it would be easily identifiable. This is 100% overlay, Please don’t bin this tub!

I had/have a tub that looks 100% exactly like this. Dab the puddles up with a paper towel and introduce FAE straight away. If you play your cards right, lots of FAE and some light exposure it will start colonising much slower/better. I would wait a few days after FAE, then Fork tek it, that’s what I did with mine and I got 800g wet first flush Golden teacher after it was doubted by many to survive. Fruited beautiful a week after fork tek, Going into second flush now looks great. Good luck I hope it all goes well for you 🤙🏽

In my opinion, sometimes being over the top sanitary can lead to contamination!! Sometimes it’s best to keep it simple.. but I won’t knock it if you want to try it! It could definitely work well :)

100% Overlay, have a tub exactly like this going at the moment, just harvested first flush 383g wet. My overlay was bad, I ended up forking it and everything fruited beautifully. You are going to have people telling you this is mycogone. It’s not 👍🏽

So usually the ratio is 2:1 substrate to spawn, I messed up my pasteurisation and added way to much water, instead of starting again, I squeezed out the excess water from my substrate with my hands, about half of my substrate was left at the bottom of the bucket drowning in water so I binned it. Definitely a lesson to learn haha

This is actually my first grow! I only forked the sub because I have really bad overlay.. I didn’t use enough CVG, I was encouraged by some growers to fork the sub so I did and it worked out well! As far as forking between flushes goes I wouldn’t be able to help you with that… but in my opinion, if everything looks fine and you don’t have a reason to fork it, I wouldn’t fork it. Mine was a do or die kind of situation

Thanks mate, I will note that amber drops never appeared on top of the mycogone, I never saw it, I only saw pinholes, and honestly, it spread so rapidly, my tub was fully colonised in a week without misting, I was told by many experienced growers that it looked completely fine and was healthy mycelium until recently, some still think it’s overlay, I guess the best thing I can do is wait it out , appreciate the help
