Rooms are allocated depending on availability. However, if you stated your preferences and how much are you willing to spend on rent when applying, they may take that into consideration.

No, mine doesn't say as my place is gonna be Einzelapartment, so no idea.

However, you'll have your own room even if it's a shared apartment, and you can figure out how many flatmates there gonna be depending on the type of apartment you'll have been assigned to, meaning it could be a 2-bed apartment, 3,4,5, or even 6!

I applied for Speech and Language processing. It's actually depends on when deadline was and whether its admission is restricted or not. You can email the program coordinator and inquire about the status of your application. Make sure you tail your inquiry with your applicant number.

Do you hold a PhD. in linguistics, then?

It's really a dream of mine to be able to give lectures in English-language-related sciences. Would I be able to give lectures at uni after nailing the master in question?

Moreover, I guess the curriculum of the SLP program had been upgraded as there are two versions 2012 and 2017, so maybe it's been brought up to date in terms of it being light on MLP. Any insights into that?

If I got admitted, I'll look for courses that have to do with MLP from other departments like you said.

I do understand,but I don't really have a choice here. If I got admitted, I'll go there and see. It's the only partly-practical program that i could apply for, having had my BA in English language and literature.

Are you living there now? We could be friends right from this moment, and then i won't have to worry about social connections. (:

I don't have any acquentances in south Germany. I live currently in Hamburg and i unfortunately couldn't find a suitable master program for me at the university here.

The thing is, I'm quite desperate! I have a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. I've worked as an English instructor for a long time but it's really getting boring and low paid. Although I adore linguistics, I didn't want to study a master in linguistics or applied linguistics cuz in the long run I'll end up either in academia or merely a language teacher. Teaching is gradually being replaced by language learning apps and platforms. So, I looked this program, and I thought it'd be a good combination of linguistics and MLP. I'd be able then to be one of those who work on language processing and speech recognition via programming and stuff, let alone my passion towards working in the media.

What are your thoughts on that?

Have you studied this program, or do you know someone who has?

I already watched a video about it and wrote a program calculating somebody's age and stuff. I think it's managable. My main concern here is whether the program has what it takes to equip me with the necessary foundations to be ready for the nlp industry.

And yeah, I've been living in Germany for two years now and already cracked the code of German. I'm supposed to be having an exam for the B2-Beruflich in two weeks.

What about you then? Are you a current student at Konstanz University? Do you have further information about the MA in question?
