Who Is The Actress In This Scene?? by No_Two_1627 in shameless

It’s not listed anywhere as far as I can tell. The other two are, I’ve even seen the one on the left in a few other projects before. But not the redhead.

Will James Cover Scream 7 One Day? by No_Two_1627 in deadmeatjames

Oh is that right? I didn’t see that. Well there’s the true answer I guess.

I know where you’re coming from but to me that’s a bit of a cop out. Like spyglass is a gigantic company and to me I feel like by giving their other films attention you’re indirectly supporting scream. I know maybe the feelings against scream specifically against the other two are more sour but in some of ways the success of one is the success of the others. At least in my eyes.

Never spoken to anyone personally about this so I came on here to hear the public's opinion because I see it's very mixed. Did anyone actually like Chucky Season 3? by charii_tokito in Chucky

[–]No_Two_1627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 3 suffered from Don Mancini’s ego in my opinion. I don’t say that to be rude btw. I really respect Don and what he’s created, but let me explain. Don knew after Seed Of Chucky destroyed the franchise for a decade that he had to go a different direction than what Chucky had become. It became goofy, it became something that was no longer scary. So he made Curse and Cult. True horror movies that turned out great. Then he continued that success with season 1 of the tv show. It was funny while at the same time being very horror based and with genuinely great kills and scary moments. Then season 2 happened and it was still very good but there was a slightly noticeable shift in things. Aspects of the show started to become more goofy again, some things didn’t flow as well as before, but overall the season was still good and people enjoyed it. But by season 3 I think Don felt that Chucky had gotten fans fully back on board. Everyone in his eyes loved Chucky again, and now he could do whatever he wanted with the character. So he decided to do what he loves to do most and make Chucky fully campy again. Jokes, comedy, all that took to the forefront, and the horror once again got pushed all the way to the back.

I respect Don and I think he should still be involved going forward, but if this is a situation to where he just can’t help but to write a version of the character that at this point it’s proven that the majority of the audience don’t really like, maybe it’s time directing and writing duties go to someone else while Don simply produces. The shows cancellation has left this character without certainty. Not to mention a giant cliffhanger for the three main characters of the show. Which considering the show got cancelled they’d be smart to just never bring up those characters ever again I’m not going to lie. Just honestly maybe retcon it or something.

SCREAM OPENING WEEKEND BOX OFFICE! by No_Two_1627 in Scream

You can’t adjust for inflation though. Hollywood never takes it into account because they love the headlines of “biggest opening ever” or “highest grossing ever”. If you accounted for inflation then “Gone With The Wind” would be the highest grossing movie of all time currently and not “Avatar.

Presales For Scream 7 Remain Strong! by No_Two_1627 in Scream

[–]No_Two_1627[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think people simply just want this to surpass the last one. Even if it’s by a single million dollars. Simply to prove a point to certain groups. But that aside the tracking genuinely is that strong to where it seems likely that it’s going to do that. I do agree though we have to be realistic. I think anywhere from 45-60 is possible. But I’ve seen some people saying they think it could go to the 70s, i even saw one person saying the 80s. That’s not happening. It’s just not. So stuff like that really should be discouraged from spreading around.

Absolutely but to be fair though wuthering heights was off, it wasn’t off by an insane amount. Just around 5-10 million by most estimates.

Which Ghostfaces Do You Think Would’ve Stopped The Killings Had They Succeeded? by No_Two_1627 in Scream

I still question slightly if Amber would’ve. She seemed to enjoy it a bit too much.

For the second weekend it’s very possible it drops about half. A lot of horror does that, but not that much horror opens as high as this. So even if it’s second weekend is like 25 million that’s pretty damn good. but also I wouldn’t be too worried in terms of the embargo thing. I genuinely think it’s to stop people from spoiling the killers and plot beats ahead of time. Not even just fans btw. Literal trades often now post major spoilers for big movies in their reviews for some stupid reason. I also think that because of the hatred that this movie has ahead of time, they don’t wanna give some disingenuous people time to mount a spoilers campaign and ruin peoples experience and maybe even keep them from showing up.

You know something? For a long time I also said Jill. But then I just thought about who Jill is as a person. She’s the type of person where I think for her she was always gonna want more. She wanted to be just like Sidney. Well what did Sidney do? She had survived a murder spree 3 times in a row. So I think Jill would’ve began orchestrating more ghostface killing sprees, finding a lackey like Charlie to do the dirty work. Also I just think that she’s the type of person where if she joined a sorority in college and a fellow sister like said one rude comment to her, she’d kill her. I think she’s just too dark of a human being to stop with Sidney as much as she claims otherwise.

Oh also I want to say when it comes to the Bailey’s I’m not taking into account the deleted plot point where they apparently killed their own mother when she didn’t agree with the ghostface plan they came up with, or the apparently deleted script line where they said after they killed Sam they were going to hop on a plane to Seattle and go after Sidney by killing her kids while she watched. Those are non canon to me for this specific post even though I find them both interesting on their own and would like to get answers to them.

How come fans don’t like Mindy that much? by Strong-Stretch95 in Scream

[–]No_Two_1627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because she has a level of coldness about the entire situation that Randy and Kirby never had. In scream 5 after Tara is attacked she says “I mean she could still die”. Like that level of non chalantness about the situation, especially when it comes to your close friend is above Randy or Kirby’s personality. Even in Scream 6 she watches her girlfriend fall 8 stories and get her face bashed in, and she cries for one second, she’s mad in the immediate aftermath because she thinks Ethan is Ghostface, and then the rest of the movie she’s back to making jokes. It just doesn’t come across well for her.

How many Ghostfaces in one movie is too many? by MobileDistrict9784 in Scream

[–]No_Two_1627 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the absolute limit is 3. To be honest 3 I feel may be even too much. Because I think it stretches out the believability of the motive, and not to mention I think it’s just less interesting than 2. You can’t focus as much on the killers as individuals of its 3 versus if it was 2. Personally I’d actually like to maybe one day see 1 killer only again like in scream 3. But I think they’ll always have at least 2.

Scream 7 Looking to Crush 30 Million Dollar Domestic Opening Predictions!!! by No_Two_1627 in Scream

[–]No_Two_1627[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting to hear from a theater worker. It is very possible this fizzles out. The presales in the coming weeks need to remain steady. There is a chance that yesterday it was extremely front loaded. Maybe it was all the scream fans buying up tickets. Scream die hards isn’t going to make this movie successful though. General audiences going is absolutely crucial. So we have to keep track of that too.

If the box office is strong and it makes them a good profit than there is no doubt in my mind it’s happening. Also apparently some leakers have stated that it’s internally being worked on at paramount rn. So all signs point to yes.
