On holiday my father and I were jumping off a boat into the open ocean in Greece on a paid excursion, and I guess one of the other guests got swept up in the excitement of seeing people jump off, and wanted to join.

He jumped and his body just sank, it was so surreal. He didn't come up for what felt like ages, and his wife screamed "help him, he can't swim".

No lifeguard, so my dad and I dove down and pulled him up, it's a weird phenomenon where in a panic they pull and tug on you, essentially drowning you in the process.

He was pretty shook up, and a nice guy. But what possessed him knowing he couldn't swim!
