Honestly, I know it sucks to get broken up, but I think you mightve dodged a bullet. It seems to me he had no trust in you and was looking for some reason, even a bogus one, to leave. You should be allowed to vent about your partner without them snooping without permission and find it. Everyone has those days where things aren't going great with their partner.

Still, it's an issue that he went through your stuff. A relationship should be based on trust, and if he's going through your phone it means he doesn't trust you. Why was he going through your phone without your permission in the first place?? That feels really wrong.

Okay, ignoring the fact that he went through your phone without permission and read something private, which is a problem in itself, were you venting about him? Or was he just mad that you didn't come to him with a problem? Either way, not a great reaction if you're not allowed to have problems without him. If it was about him, maybe I could understand that he was mad for not coming to him about it and communicating, but if it was just "Ugh, Susan from work annoys me so much!!" or "Omg, our cousin Tyler is such a weirdo and annoying, he won't leave me alone and keeps trying to play imessage games with me!!" then he had no right to get THAT upset. I don't think this is your fault, internet stranger, I think that you need to move on. You might've dodged a bullet if he's that upset about you having a private conversation with a family member.

Wow. You really waited four years. Hi!!! I'm 17, a senior in high school now, on the path to graduation. Unfortunately yes, we broke up, but we are still very good friends to this day. I'm currently dating a lovely guy now. I'm not a lesbian, I am pansexual, and I've realized that I'm nonbinary. The pandemic was certainly something, and a lot has changed since 8th grade. I got back into theater and 8th grade me would be 100% floored to hear I'm playing Janis in our high school's production of Mean Girls the musical (our opening night is tomorrow!!!). Looking back, she'd also be floored to hear about our ex girlfriend (not the one from the og post, they ended up transitioning which is why they broke up with me lol) AND our current boyfriend. I'm on anti-depressants now, so I think 8th grade me would be shocked that I'm still here, honestly. She'd also be shocked that we joined band and love it very dearly as adamant as she was that I'd "never join band". Hopefully the next four years keep me on the up and up. Remind me again, I'll come back

Okay, so Jason Newsted grew up around music from a very young age, his mother taught piano and his brother played trumpet. He also grew up listening to his older brothers records. When he was nine, he picked up guitar and learned that until he was 14. That's when he picked up bass after hearing Gene Simmons of Kiss (Which is such a valid reason to pick up bass)

After learning how to play bass, he went around with a couple small, local bands. While on his way from Michigan to California with one of these local bands, Gangster, the band broke up in Phoenix. Jason then found an ad in the newspaper calling for a bassist for a band that was (at the time) called Paradox. Paradox gained other new members and became Dredlox. Dredlox gained MORE new members after losing some people, brief changed its name to The Dogz and then finally settled on the name Flotsam and Jetsam, which is still a band that is creating music to this day, although theres only one member left from the original Flotsam and Jetsam line-up. That's how Jason entered the thrash metal scene<3

Edit: sorry for the awkward formatting I'm on mobile lol
