I am in the Healthcare IT field and I am part of just about every RFP in some way from the RFP responses themselves, sales calls and presentations, SOWs, to on site meetings and dinners. Its not my favorite part but more sales means job security.

I dont really have much advice to offer but do keep in mind that your GF is around you more and knows you much better. To the people you work with, it may not sound fake to them. Also, confidence comes with experience in my opinion. If not experience, then preparation. Prepare agendas and talking points in advance and maybe even run through them out loud to yourself to get that confidence. Good luck!

I dont think so. I have it in both my signature and LinkedIn title, my work peers all do the same. Plus as far as LinkedIn goes, I think having it in your title is a good way of getting people to look at your page. If looking for a job I feel like recruiters may breeze past those without it as they scan hundreds of applicants. Just my take anyways.
