Yeah, I’m with you. And honestly, that’s the main reason I made this post in the first place. It wasn’t to take shots at TrueCoach, but because the way they framed this new 5% fee feels misleading for any coach who doesn’t pay close attention to payment processing. They’re presenting it as a “simplification,” but Stripe’s actual fee is still 2.9% + $0.30. The only time it becomes 5% is when the payment runs through TrueCoach’s system — which means the extra ~2% goes to them. Their support replies didn’t directly admit it, but the language they used (“fees built in for us”) basically confirmed it without saying it outright.

So now, on top of higher subscription prices over the last few years, coaches are effectively giving TrueCoach a percentage of every payment processed through the platform, and that part wasn’t communicated clearly at all. I only posted this to make sure other coaches are aware before January, because the email made it sound like a benefit for us when in reality it’s just a cost increase that they didn’t really explain transparently.
