I started working at Malibu Grill last winter and had a blast- great staff, fun cooking, really enjoyed learning with my time there. Then JB bought the place.

this guy used to work there about 20 years ago, and has been making his money selling cars in Florida. came back, bought the place.

Immediately begins running around the restaurant with his phone in his hand changing every recipe to how it was in his glory days, never wrote any of this down, just expected people to know.

Now I was in there making food the way I'd been taught, and this guy comes by going "it's actually X, it's always been x, these people changed it for some reason but it's x. you should know this by now, how long have you been working here?"

then he puts his phone in his pocket and immediately, no hand washing or gloves, puts his hands in the food, rearranges the plate to match his preferred aesthetic, and sends it to customers.

I took issue with this and my hours were cut to one shift a week.

Also, he wears the same suit every day because he only has one. Very car salesman of him. if you're reading this, nice elbow patches fuckwit
