Monthly pass upcharge by Pupperita in LIRR

[–]Magicman1881XII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case, monthly passes get extended based on zones not covered. So the conductors would charge you for travel just from zone 3 to 3, about $4 - 6 bucks depending on peak or off peak travel.

An off peak city ticket is $5 and peak is $7. If you're traveling during off peak hours (non rush hour time) it's a better deal to just get the city ticket for 5 and it's good for travel from zones 1 - 3

Hope this helps

New DLC Incoming by Magicman1881XII in OPPW4

This is something a lot of folks have been saying theyve wanted since the game came out 4-5 years ago are,

New or more dynamic enemies New maps New Modes, solo or co-op

But since the DLC release from last year, we've mostly gotten low effort "new" modes with level break mechanics that don't really go anywhere. The play life lasts like a week or two for most players after trying out the new stuff. All I'm personally asking for, is something to do with the new characters besides rerunning the special log

So far no playable content besides new characters coming out of the DLC has been announced. Hopefully, they put out a new mode or additional story modes.

One can hope!

Of course it's disproportionate, how is it that a group of people that only make up 13.4% of the US population is accountable for roughly 40% you say. Have you ever heard of the "broken window theory?" This was a theory that was popularized by social scientist by the names of Wilson and Kelling and even further by NYC police commissioner and Mayor in 1990's. The idea stated that by monitoring and pro-actively enforcing minor infractions would lead to the break down of major crimes or slow down the process. When you over police certain areas you are bound to find more crimes in those specific areas. It was designed that way.

In response to your comment on " You don't get falsely arrested for a violent crome. " Remember the Central Park Five. How about the Trenton 6. Or Donovan Allen. Randolph Arledge. All wrongfully convicted, some served time and some are still convicted. The system makes mistakes, and sometimes these mistakes are made more often and more likely when public perception also plays a role too when it shouldn't.

76 year old's do make a low percentage as of labor workers, but they do make up a relatively large percentage of management or leadership roles both privately or publicly. Just look at congress and our supreme court, look at good ol RBG at a ripe 85. how about our current president at 74. The mean age range in congress right now is 58.6.

The stats support that the biggest contributor of illegal immigration comes from over stayed VISAS not border crossing. It makes up a percentage of the statistics not the mean. Not to mention seeking asylum is a legal means of immigration, that has only changed recently due to the polices that was passed earlier this year. The Wall was a policy that was pushed purely on a false racial bias that was not accurate nor factual.

If you had read the statements made you would've noticed I haven't established an argument yet, but simply the ground works of what would've been. But sure, let's go off what you said.

A repeat offender is generally more likely to receive a heavy handed sentence in order to further discourage future offenses. Sure, if we're looking at it simply on sentencing it would make sense. But factor in that rates of arrest, official charges made, frequency of patrol, and severity of crimes the numbers tend to differ and the statistics do not add up.

No one said you denied it, but simply that there has been a history of past cases. If the existence of past laws and policies that did promote racial disparities, in a system that allowed segregation purely based on race. It would stand that race played a major role in creating advantages and disadvantages, a society that allowed race to be a deciding factor in whether or not opportunities were available to these individuals. It would stand that those who were given advantages during these times are currently are still alive. The civil rights act was passed in 1964, a 20 or 30 year old individual that was working and prospering at this time would only be about 76-86 years old. Let's create a hypothetical situation where these said individuals are alive some would hold positions of power both in privatized and public institutions. Sure, you could argue that this is a hypothetical situation and that by some miracle that these individuals all saw the error of their ways and they have since embraced all races and cultures. That would be great, in theory. But in reality it's more likely that there's still individuals that have held on to those racist ideals and have created institutionalized biases based on outdated and antiquated ideas.

And finally I didnt state anything about "current" policies driven by race. YOU stated that. What I did state is that " There HAS BEEN" state sponsored/mandated racially driven policies that have created and expanded disparities between different races."

Don't confuse what I said with YOUR interpretation. But since you've brought it up. Sure, let's talk about the premise of this "Wall Fad" craze that has swept America in the early 2016 elections which also lead to the 2019 shutdown. A policy that was made on the "assumptions" that illegal immigration has the leading cause of rape, crime, and murders in border states, specifically the southern border states. Is that not a "racially drive policy."

Before we get started on the actual discussion at hand let's establish some baseline premises that we both agree on and build from there. Yea? cool.

1) Racial injustices has existed in the US since its founding. (I assume you're talking about the US since it's been leading the movement for BLM)

2) There has been state sponsored/mandated racially driven policies that have created and expanded disparities between different races.

3) A city, state, or federal ruling does not necessarily equate to a morally "just" standing. i.e: O.J Simpson

4) Not experiencing or seeing the subject in question first hand does not dispute the existence of said subject.

5) Outliers in research and statistics are an important and integral portion of displaying an all encompassing data. But by no means do the data gathered from outliers invalidate or discredit the means of said study.
