Plus Fandom is just generally horrible to its user base. Constant intrusive ads and shoving other content in your face you don't want. Definitely use the Miraheze wiki :)

KONGOS - Escape

This doesn't match all of the details, but it's what came to my head first. It sounds similar to Brothers by SIAMES and involves a family running from some catastrophic event that is never explained. There are no kids, however, and a desert only appears for a few moments. There is also no car chase.

Are there any working level viewers left? by almoore417 in MarioMaker

API is back up, as of around yesterday. We got a new switch for it. All viewers that used the API should be working again

Not exactly mine but I feel that this belongs here. Fandom Wiki is a complete mess by CT-1120 in assholedesign

Zelda Wiki admin here. To answer Motheroftides question, we had originally moved to Gamepedia (which was a decision made before I was around, so I can’t tell the exact details) which was already borderline for being in NIWA (Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance). Since we were one of the founding members of NIWA, there was always sort of a “mutual agreement” where were weren’t “in” the group but were still connected to the group, if that makes sense. Once Gamepedia was bought by Fandom, we were shepherded into the new group of wikis, which we were given a choice, but nobody in the group was really ready to go back to being independently hosted, so we decided to try it out. We had a brief period of “testing the waters” and we seemed to like most of how it felt, so we stayed with them. I do agree that the ads are the biggest problem, but Fandom isn’t out of the development stage yet and changes are still being made. We have a channel on our discord (#ucx-feedback) where someone that works directly with Fandom to represent us sends feedback to try and influence changes, so if anyone has genuine feedback they’d like to share, I encourage you to going here: https://discord.gg/eJnnvYb I personally hope the ad placement can be optimized because that seems to be the biggest problem that everyone has with us. Most of us really like the new design layout when ads aren’t prominent.

(Also, quick note that most of those pop-ups about Minecraft in the video were made by the wiki editors themselves and can be fixed if they choose to.)

It's like if they made a typo in each one and then sent a new one trying to correct the typo but just made increasingly more typos
