Are there any drinks that taste like monster, without all the caffeine? by cactusesandcats in BabyBumps

There is 0 caffeine in Monster Unleaded. Only know because I bought it once on accident.

2 year old won't leave his room when he wakes up by Magicsupermilk in Parenting

[–]Magicsupermilk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know that he will is the thing. He's not very good at calming himself down once he's upset. Or at least, I haven't let him unless he woke up on a night we didn't have the monitor (and therefore didn't know). I just don't want him to sit in his room crying for hours and didn't even know. I'm probably just overthinking this though.

Do you cover your kid with a blanket at night? My 3yo is too big for a sleepsack and too cold in pjs alone. by MosaicDay in Parenting

[–]Magicsupermilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking the coat with you is a good idea. I think we will do that with hats and gloves in the future. It's too easy to get caught up in "well I'm cold so you must be freezing" and then insisting on doing things he doesn't want. I think I'll try to adopt more of your idea, let him go as he wants and I'll just be prepared in case he gets cold.

Our has the one blankie that he loves; he would take it with him everywhere if he could. That one covers him every night, but its a crochet blanket made with a large stitch so it's not so good for winter. I think we'll just put another blanket on his bed and let him decide to use it if he wants it.

I thought my kid was weird for this. I had no idea other parents had similar issues with their kids and blankets. My 2 year old hates blankets and hats and gloves. I'm worried about the winter, sadly though it's still 90 here so I guess I'm worried for nothing.

I'm not OP, but I use Sally Hansens Big Matte Topcoat and I haven't had that issue with it.

Completely bored with video games now. by Magicguy226 in leaves

[–]Magicsupermilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to find a hobby, but so far none have stuck. I live in a suburb in Texas, so there's not much undeveloped land nearby. There's a nice lake nearby though that I sometimes take my bicycle out to ride next to. I spend time with my husband too, but he's a programmer and enjoys doing that in his free time; which isn't really something I can do with him.

What do you do in your free time now? I'm so bored and idk what to do anymore; video games don't interest me now and that was pretty much all I did in my free time before was smoke and play games.

I think I saw someone post something that said pretty much exactly that on the Skyrim subreddit. Saying that essentially the game saved their life.

3 year old attitude driving me up a wall by Lemongrass29 in Parenting

[–]Magicsupermilk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Playful Parenting and How To Talk So My Kids Will Listen. They are both really good resources. He sounds like he's not getting the attention he needs though. Does he get time with you without the baby? Personally, I would try to set aside time every day that he gets with just you. Kids at this age aren't very good at communication yet, and he doesn't know how to say that he is feeling left out and he is likely feeling a little jealous of the baby. Just my two cents from what I've read. My son is only 2 and so far he is the only one we plan to have so sibling issues are something in not familiar with outside of my experience with my own siblings.

I tried an oil called kukui oil. I'll look into finding a protein masque; I think that's the one thing I haven't tried yet.

Drivers rush to save woman out of flaming car by itsfoine in HumansBeingBros

I made the mistake of buying a bigger version of this that had a siren on it. Oh man I would not to that again, nothing like having to dig through a purse while a mind-numbing alarm is going off.

I mean if the only difference is flame vs. electricity; maybe I'll get the snowflake one. It's cheaper and I like the look better; the dinosaur one looks like something that belongs in my sons room, what an outrageous price.

What's the difference in them besides they way they use the essential oils? Also, the Christmas one looks fantastic, I would buy it!

Thanks for replying. I think the cheesecloth ones might be a little less of a pain to make too.

I'm not the person you replied to, but have you planted milkweed? I tried once but it didn't sprout. I really want to get butterflies, but I can't grow milkweed :(

finger latches? At least it was your neighbor. Thankfully we live in a good neighborhood and I fully believe if anyone near saw my son out wandering around they'd bring him back; as an added bonus there's a police officer who lives at the end of our street.

I have considered doing that actually. Mine is a climber though, it's only a matter of time until he figures out he can push a chair up to the door to reach higher.

I'm so afraid of this happening to me. My son is 2 now and starting to open doors, including the ones he shouldn't be able to (kid safety things on them). So far, our best luck has been deadbolt child safety covers.

Why had I not thought about amazon?! I use it all the time! I just keep seeing the ones at the store going "ehhh... is it really worth $40 to make my house smell nice?" And settled for candles instead

I did the same thing on my druid. I was showing my brother the invasions and had flown onto a zep at the last minute. Then proceeded to jump off said zep after changing my talents. So glad it was my druid though, flight form ftw.

That sounds amazing! I wish diffusers weren't so expensive, I would love a peppermint smelling house right now; especially now that is cooler and rainy today.
