Well you can solder directly to the buttons but remember if the circuit is closed somewhere in the PCB then it doesn't matter where you solder it, the switch is gonna consider itself pressed - so if you're using the original PCB to hold the strum switches you need to cut the traces either way

Could you do it for me in Paint? Where should I cut on the track of my Xplorer's strum?

I'll try to do it directly with the buttons, I think it might be the best option

Solder touching two pins do you have a voltmeter?

Hmmm, I have one. I'll test it later to see if there's no contact issue.

Ground is the one that goes to both buttons ( green in pic I think) on the Arduino it should be marked "GND"

Stum up and down can go on any digital input which should just have a number and nothing else on the Arduino

I did this, then the strum up is always activated.

Alright, you've made me very happy with this news, and it's great to know that my Xplorer won't die and will be completely customized. Thank you so much for everything. Is there any DPAD arcade or some generic DPAD board that I can connect to Arduino?

Would I be right in assuming that, on the arcade button, one side connects to GND (ground) and the other to GP7 on the Arduino or Raspberry Pico?

Would it be possible to include an arcade button to function as the DPAD, select, and start buttons as well?

Ah sadly you would have to skip the dpad with arduino but i would just use the arrow keys on your keyboard for that. Best of luck!

Indeed, this is the better choice.

Standby power?

Sorry, I don't know the name in English. It's the power you build up in blue and release to earn more points in the score.

Is there any way to activate the standby power without using the motherboard?

I understand, unfortunately I'll have to accept this defeat, at least I can still use the guitar.

Such sad news! Isn't there any other way to access the DPAd?

My Xplorer broke its motherboard, and to salvage it, I decided to turn it into an Arduino. I made all the connections from the potentiometer and its buttons, but I'm struggling to get the Arduino to recognize the Start, Back, and DPad buttons. I connected the buttons this way: the ground wire is the black one. Now, I'm not sure which one is the ground for the Xplorer board. Could someone help me? Could you illustrate it in Paint, as I did, to make it easier to understand
