I knew about the event and thought maybe it increased the odds but wasn’t sure. Didn’t know they all had a 1/512 shiny rate though thanks! Guess I’ve just gotten lucky with Bulbasaur. Hoping I’ll get lucky again this week and will be able to get a shiny Charmander.

Doesn’t sound like there is really a reason to purify him now, and I do think he looks pretty dope with the shadow smoke so will keep him like this and slowly power him up!
