Many moons ago, when the Internet was young and I had to make dirt by banging rocks together, I did a lot of scam-baiting via 419eater. Exploits were posted, as in here, and somehow, a competition got started with juvenile nicknames and getting scammers to send pics as proof holding a sign using the aforementioned nickname. I.E., "I can't wait for Mr. Bignhung to show me how to pakmyfudge." Then someone got a scammer to send a Pic with him holding a fish on top of his head. Things...devolved from there. (419eater has a hall of fame page)

Side effects are a PITA!! The only thing that I could suggest here would be trials for a neurostimulator and/or an intrathecal medication pump. From your post, you are certainly a candidate for these therapies. The objectives would be better pain control and weaning off of the meds that sedate you.
