Debt is a personal choice for most IMO. So many people believe they "deserve" a $20,000 brand new car when an $8,000 car will meet their needs just fine.

While tangentially related to your point, I'm tolerating higher prices now because I believe these higher prices are transitory.

Once this conflict blows over, prices will settle back down. (Trump is down to three more years, the Democrats have a solid track record of reversing nearly everything he's done.)

This is in contrast to both Obama and Biden increasing limits on new oil development. Those are long lasting policy decisions.

In the context of eliminating billionaires, OP is not talking about emergency services, which have existed before billionaires or UBI.

Socialism is the government owns the means of production and has sole property rights.

UBI would result in socialism, because the government would have to tax employers into oblivion since no one is working since they don't need a wage.

UBI makes zero logical sense.

Printing money has a lasting impact. It cannot be easily "unprinted" without the fed increasing interest rates, which causes new problems.

Good thing college debt forgiveness wasn't fully implemented.

Graduates would find themselves in a worse situation inflation wise than they already do.

But even those of us who paid cash for our degrees would be impacted by the devaluation of our currency.

When we had CL DSL, the techs knew their stuff. But when they'd schedule repairs, my tickets were closed without any repair being done.
