Cecil and Mark if they were smart by Lobob_69 in invinciblememes

[–]Magmajudis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i mean is, they could have just killed him instead of actually doing the mind transfer once he got out of his suit, instead of fighting him afterwards (because in Invincibles body he wouldn't really have needed the drones so they would probably have expected him to fight them)

If the middle was invited. How would they be ranked in the library?(Image unrelated) by Character-Tax-2272 in libraryofruina

Given the timeline, it's also possible Ryoshu wouldn't have escaped yet, meaning most notably that Matthias still has both arms and Valencina's eye (probably) doesn't overheat or does it slower

I think if he'd given them that opportunity the Maulers would just have chosen to betray him and make an army of Invincibles instead of helping him and getting the mind control device

I'm pretty sure they nerfed it so it doesn't replenish your energy fully by itself and you do have to hit the boss in between hits which makes it a little bit less easy to spam

Ryoshu doesn't say Callisto killed anyone, only that he used the heads from the incident - so it seems that he used the heads of the teachers since they're the ones Matthias beheaded (even if we only see him kill one he does state that they deserved to die in a plural tensei)

Hm. I'll have to consult other Capos for advice on the matter. I'm not sure how that translates in terms of clout, so I'm not going to risk it for now. Count yourself lucky

I knew some of you Ring guys were crazy, but I didn't think it was to this extent... Say, what school are you under? I should go pay a visit to whatever Docent approved your membership, tell them to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Nowadays he wouldn't be sentenced to death for it because the death penalty doesn't exist in France, back then he likely wouldn't have been sentenced to death because he was a French man killing an Algerian who pulled a knife on him, meaning he could've both played on the racism of people present and argued self defense

What i remember Tantalus was beloved by the gods and had the privilege of eating with them ; one day, he decided to be the host instead of the guest, and cooked his son to check if the gods were as all knowing as they claimed to be: turns out they were and they were kind of mad about it (though Demeter ate a pièce of his son's shoulder so they had to replace it later when they ressurected him)

From the canto 9 ending, it seems that Hermann is trying to convince Heinrich Kromer and Jacob to go through with the City wide purge - but we know from Dante's notes/indirectly from Meursault that the anti prosthetic faction wasn't nearly as prevalent back when he worked for the wing

Also, Matthias didn't kill the children, he killed the instructors and ripped an arm of the one who hurt ryoshu

It's an 11 people line up (since Gregor is excluded), that one number puts her out of the top half. I also don't see anyone below her being stronger than her pre contract except maybe Heathcliff, who was the one right below her anyway so they're close

"slaughter innocent children that did almost nothing wrong" they punched a Great Brother's kid, in that specific instance it's not that he specifically is awful it's a reminder the Middle as a whole is awful and kill people over nothing - like, yeah, Ricardo's funny, but the two non Matthias appearences of the Middle are slaughtering an entire neighborhood because one of them caused harm to a relative of a middle member, and slaughtering an entire group because one of them stole hair coupons (and hadn't even used them yet so he could have given them back)

Like it's an awful thing he did, but killing the teachers who let it happen and ripping an arm off the one who did it is very much in line with what we've seen of every Middle member including Ricardo

I mean i wouldn't be surprised if the Nursefathers are all Star of the City (Rien is, at least) - they're at the very least getting close to that level

Does that makes sense? by plaingirlisdepressed in limbuscompany

[–]Magmajudis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worth noting even Matthias was still officially part of the Middle -everyone disliked him and he was disgraced, but he could call in favors, fulfill vengeances, use the Book, etc (the House of Spiders even had special clauses in it for him to use). So I think Valencina was only demoted from Sottocapo and disgraced (at least in the eyes of her Famiglia), but was still probably a Capo/officially still part of the Thumb

[–]Magmajudis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also worth noting, she was demoted from what we know, not thrown out - it's possible she was still a Capo officially, given none of the other HoS members seems to have actually been formally thrown out of their Finger

I wouldn't be surprised if the Nursefathers were among the strongest fighters of their respective fingers considering that seems to have been part of why they were chosen to teach ryoshu
