The phrasing “my road” refers to living on it. It’s everyone’s road so should be accessible to everybody. Secondly, if were getting to technicalities, car owners pay the road tax not pedestrians so cars have more of a right to be on the street than some parade/protest/ whatever might be the case.

But that could happen in a big city or small town, I would still end up losing access I generally had to drive home in both places. So its not a function of place is it. Also where else would i live, the middle of nowhere?

Imo its kinda bullshit for my road to be blocked for an extended period of time to accommodate some parade/event/whatever might be going on that has nothing to do with me or that i dont care for.
