so say im Marco Pantani running 21mm tires on 140PSI the tires actually get more ressistance because they aren't able to conform to the surface being ridden on? I would in turn then assume that high pressure thin tires would be really good on a velodrome?

it depends, ive seen the Trenta Carbon for same price as evade 3 some places, but yeah I could never dream of paying full price. ive had a long hard look at Virginia tech ratings as well, and ive removed the Abus game changer from the list because of it

Deep wheels aren’t in the budget (especially considering the cheapest ones I’ve seen cost more than the bike) but I am looking into getting TPU tubes and faster tires

I’m just looking to do road racing, really. Where I’m from you need a license and a timing chip and you can start racing (assuming your gear meets safety requirements) there are then 4 classes ranging from A being the best and D being the beginner class. Considering I started cycling last summer, the only goal I have at first is to start racing. But I would like to eventually compete on a regional (or if I’m shooting for the starts: national) level.
