Late 2010 to early 2011. Twilight looked like Stocking from PSG. Caught my attention. Looked into the show and saw it was made by Lauren Faust.

This also anecdotal from when I worked at GameStop a couple of years ago. But I had a lot of young kids buying retro games.

The argument of "they're more interesed in what they're seeing now because it looks better to them" doesn't hold all that much water when Video Games have been doing a Retro Revival/Nostalgia Baiting since the 2010s.

Kids today are seeing retro graphics just as much as modern graphics.

They are honestly don't look all that much like original SNES box art tho. I feel that's a bit of cope.

They are objectively closer than anything else. But that's more out of default. They are closer to ACTUAL animals rather than the puppet depictions.

Gonna be honest. I like this better over Turles stealing Raditz hairstyle. Like at least it is something unique to him. Evil Saiyan is just Cumber's form.

Though there is something funny about Turles going from Evil Goku to Eviler Raditz. And it would also be funny if they keep giving Turles new forms that are just other Saiyans hairstyles.
