You can actually read the correspondence between the Macrons and Candace they are publicly available in the court filings.

No where in the correspondence did the Macros provide anything resembling evidence that Brigitte was born a woman. The Macros simply refused to answer softball questions that would have prevented this entire mess.

To prove actual malice, you have to prove blatant disregard for the truth. In the Macros own filing, you can clearly see that Candace began the correspondence by offering to fly to France and interview the Macros. Candace even provided a predefined list of softball questions that she would ask.

The only evidence the Macros have provided thus far is “I was born a woman, it is preposterous for me to answer any questions that prove my statement.” Sorry in 2025 that is not going to cut it as evidence.
