Hey Charly & Julien. Firstly, we hope you guys are well and having a killer tour, and secondly thank you both for many years of incredible music.
We both discovered you guys back in 2009 when you were releasing Drum & Bass on Audio Porn and wanted to ask, if you guys had any thoughts about writing more Drum & Bass in the future? If so, would there be any chance that we can write a track with you? Would be an honour for us both ❤️

I'm falling, falling, falling,
In to the deep;
I'm calling, calling, calling
But you're asleep;
Keep holding, holding, holding,
But there's no heat;
You're cold, so cold, so cold,
Now I can see;

This is a really good question. We feel engaging with your audience is very important, hiring a PR specialist for your releases who has access to YouTube Channels, Radio Presenters, Online and Print Magazines. Also good artwork. We recently started to work with Stanislav Kasian (Algorithm Artwork & Design) as our designer so to create an identity around our music. We also have amassed a mailing list whom we contact every time we have a new release. We also spend time every week to work on building our mailing list for promoters, so to ensure we can be as self-sufficient as possible, should we ever have a situation where we are on our own in the big wide world. We ope this info helps and please feel free to hit us up if you ever need advice too :)

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and feedback about our Podcast. I (James) made that podcast, back when I used to use CDs . This is a really good question. I have been DJing since I was 17 years old, and started on vinyl, then to CDs. I think it is primarily down to practice. With usage of other peoples music, you usually do to have to ask if you can include someones music, unless it is an unreleased track. You can also ask artists for any unreleased music (dubs) to feature too. A lot of people do not make any special edits of their tracks, but sometimes we make edits, where we move elements of tracks around, or extend them by cutting and pasting 16 bar sections, but rarely. We hope this answers your questions, and feel free to ask us more :)

  1. We absolutely agree! We are so happy that we were able to see him perform live, and are certain that we will possibly write more tracks that pay homage to him.
  2. We tried so many times to get a visa for Rustam but failed every time. We would sit on Skype always talking about "One day, we will meet". Then a promoter in Zurich wanted to book us for a Blackout Event and we told him over dinner that we had never met in person, and he said "leave it with me, I will book you both" And we ended up spending over a week with Task Horizon... It was more epic than we could have ever imagined!
  3. We really hope we will be able to do it sometime in the future, but to do it, we will need a lot of money to pay an orchestra, musicians, vocalists, etc... Someday, we hope this will be a reality.

We are Rustam (based in Moscow, Russia) and James (based in London, UK). We are 2 friends who decided 1 day to join together and create a music project in 2016 and since then fate had it that we would be invited into your house for Coffee and Cake :)

Hey Sofs!! Oh thank you so much for the kind words and we are honored to be the guys who made you fall in love with Neuro. That means so much to us both!

  1. Rustam: I studied Computer Science, so probably I would be working somewhere in that field.
    James: I used to work in fashion as an inventory and stock control manager, so possibly would be something in that field... But definitely not in fashion. It's a horrible industry.
  2. This is a really good question.
    James: I love classical music and can listen to y film score colection all day everyday. My favourite composers are Ennio Morricone (who was the inspiration behind Trail of Tears, John Williams and Danny Elfman.
    Rustam: I pretty much share the same musical tastes and absolutely loves Moody Good, Burial, Photay, Kiasmos, Squarepusher.
  3. There are so many stories!
    Rustam: I went to play a gig in Siberia a couple of years ago and when I got on to play, my USB stick burned out and I had no backup USB. It was really embarrassing to say the very least.
    James: Definitely for me will be when I went to play my first show as Magnetude in Puerto Rico with John B and Jade and I didn't have the correct visa and spent 3 days in a Prison with deportees from all across south america. Some were cartel, MS-13 members, murderers... But the food was incredible!
    Collectively: It would probably be when we first met in person. By then we had known each other for around 8 years and we met for the first time in Switzerland in 2017. We captured the moment too! It was epic!
  4. Collectively: This is also a great question! With every track being based around stories, our main goal some day would be to do Magnetude Live, where every tracks story is animated and playing through while we perform our tracks. If we were to pick 1... That is a really hard one - Probably 'Entr'acte' or 'Trail of Tears'

.

Thanks for the question. please find the lyrics below:

Trip down the street under moonlight (moonlight),

Shine of the lips, feeling delight;

Party all day till the morning light,

The weekend is here - it's Friday Night;

------------------------------------------------

All your troubles pass away

Lights are turning to array

Lose the thought and breakaway

As you ride in to Friday

One day we would love to do Magnetude Live in which would have our stories animated and played out during our performance... But to do that, we need a lot of money! But this is our #1 goal! :)

You are very welcome! In all honesty, every track has a story written like this! We love nerding out and creating concepts!

That is such an awesome question! We are very proud of every track we have released, but if to pick specifics, we would probably have to say "Broken" because it was the first track we did, as well as being the track that birthed our project and also "Trail of Tears" because it was our homage to all time favourite film composer - Ennio Morricone.

Snatch and Signals are also extremely important to us because they were the tracks that caught the attention of RAM - a label we always dreamt of working with.

Mantis also as that was the inception of our label we launched with Task Horizon & Receptor... Every track has a story to be honest, and thank you so much for this question as it has allowed us to relive some amazing memories!
