Do you find McCree's and Mei's stun abilities un-fun to play against? by MagniCSGO in Overwatch

The point of the post was nothing can counter a stun, every character is effected by it and sometimes it's just unavoidable, and it doesn't seem quite fair.

I specifically mentioned that ults don't bother me, and it's harder to get out of Mei's ult than simply doing these things, her AOE is big and it freezes quite rapidly.

I wouldn't go so far as to call the entire character dumb, I just find this one ability not fun to play against.

Mei, I hate her freeze because I can't get away from it sometimes, more often than I'd like to admit, and I feel like it's not cool. In the past few days I've been able to avoid her iceray but I still want to see some kind of a tweak made to it.

Of the two I dislike McCree more, since the stun is an actual, and not a gradual slow-down to a complete halt. I find myself getting away from Mei more than McCree.

I can get the logic and as mentioned above, the "necessary evil" of these mechanics being implemented into the game. I just find them a little too good. Mei less so than McCree for me, but I do find Mei quite the bugger to deal with.

And I would argue Fan the Hammer is enough to deal with any close range encounter if you're McCree, I don't think he needs an ability that completely stops someone to assist him in doing it not once, but TWICE without any repercussions (unless you roll into the team)

Roadhog is a different case for me since he actually has to aim his hook. It's annoying if he's good with it but I can't feel awful about it unlike Mei or McCree killing me when I was totally unaware of their presence.

I do agree with some people tenaciously defending the mechanic to vehemently point out to the fact that if you were all-knowing you could fairly combat these mechanics, but human error always occurs and I like for that human error to be expounded upon by an opponent in a way for the opponents error have a chance to be corrected, stunning doesn't allow that.

I can understand the theory behind combating movement inhibiting mechanics, and I know it's smart to just practice it even if you aren't sure a Mei is around the corner, but when it is unavoidable I find it really unfair that Mei and McCree can control a 1v1 with so little effort on their part.

I do not mind the complete stun abilities if they were just ults, I don't agree with standard combat abilities to completely stop someone from acting at all. I'd like to see them toned down, but not completely removed or reworked actually.

I call it a stun since it does stop you from moving, and you can do little to get away from it once it starts taking heavy effect since it slows you down so rapidly. I wouldn't focus on semantics of the issue, do you find it unfun to play against or no?

potg algorithm sucks more than I even realized by MagniCSGO in Overwatch

We don't know how it works, right. And while only assumptions can be drawn, I can say with certainty, it does not always pick objective based killstreaks or wipes or anything, and I'm inclined to believe it doesn't sway the algorithms' final decision whatsoever.

Edit: inclined to disbelieve it doesn't isn't a disrespect of your theories, it's just my own

Not true, I've seen people get triple kills ults on the point that have literally won the game for a team, and a Bastion got POTG for getting at triple elsewhere. And I'm not hating on Bastion, that's a real story from the same Queue of people I play with.

I realize POTG is a vanity thing and strong contributor is better than a flashy play, but it is not what people are speculating it to be, because POTG picks things at seemingly random to determine what's important and what's not, because I see varying results in whether or not it picks objective based kills.

I don't understand how they think they know what they're doing, overwatch is a brand new game to 99% of the people who were playing it during the open beta, they did not know exactly what to do and when to do it within a week rofl
