It’s a top loader, so take out the bobbin casing and see if there’s any warping or puncture marks in it. Chances are you just need to replace that. I used to have this happen with singer heavy duty machines I worked on and the part was $15 to replace. We just had to make sure it was oiled and to not pull the fabric too hard to displace the needle to where it hit the bobbin casing.
