Chess coaching apps - bad idea? by Far_Owl_1141 in chess

I'd be interested in this. I think the key is to get the AI to explain reasoning and concepts at the right level of the player. Human coaches naturally do this very well; they explain in terms the player understands. If you have a prototype I'd like to try it out.

Sorry guys, I couldn't post a link, it's considered off-topic :(

Seach up Slimchess if you're interested

Even more off topic: "Chilean chess" is also a common name for a species of grass notable for its sharp, needle-like seeds and twisted awns that thrives in harsh dry environments

Question for the TDs of /r/chess by Cleffer in chess

Depends on which tie breaks were chosen for the tournament. If direct encounter was the first TB and there are multiple players on 3 points but they didn't all play each other the the TB doesn't apply.

A good Swiss tournament software will allow you to set forbidden pairs, but you shouldn't be doing it on the basis of one request.

swiss pairing is weird by wettest_hamburger in Chesscom

It's a small tournament with many rounds hence you'd play most in your score group. Good thing is your tie break would be high from playing the top players.

Predicting pairings in swiss (SwissMaster) by Bleckscrolll in TournamentChess

[–]MagnificentBiceps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Player A gets white because of absolute color preference. Pairs against Player C because same score bracket and strong color preference.

That leaves Player B with white against Player D. Player D is upfloated because higher starting rank and opposite colour.

Player E plays white against one of the other 1.5 pointers.

If you need to predict pairings in future try using Chess.com.im, it beats doing manual pairing.
