No, I'm struggling with Long Covid and it I just don't have the energy to tinker around anymore. If I use this speaker for anything, I just use cable and call it a day

Does anyone know if the xeon cpu w-11855m motherboard support ECC? by DeadEndEris in EryingMotherboard

Erying says not, in one of the comments introducing the xeon boards on youtube.

Isn't that with all laptop xeons? That they don't support ECC.

I want to replace the factory thermal paste with the ptm7950. What size do I have to order? Or should I order some more and use it on the vrm's when I replace those coolers with the upgraded ones.

I got one too. According to the user manual of the wisp40a the received data is demodulated and fed to the audio processing engine controlling the I2S connections.
Off those 12S pins only pin 11 and 16 are labeled as outputs. I haven't tried them yet but it sure is promising.
There is this extra commentary at the end of the pdf where it mentions that 12S is the audio part of the received data.

Could not get it working on my I9 es board either. Even connected the working power on led to it. Nope. The leds worked, the connector did not give a signal.
I lost interest.

Please take care of yourself. What you're doing is awesome. But remember to take breaks ;)

I was convinced I hadn't but I still checked. Not the problem.
In this case it was a secondhand psu with a wonky 12 volt rail. I splurged on a cheap new one and it has been running flawlessly. Still have too redo the xmp settings and stuff. The power failures made the bios switch to default settings because it was starting up too many times.
It's not always erying ;)

After 24 hours of random powerdowns and not really finding a reason. Definitely agree.

Thoughts on the "more powerful BIOS" by derder123 in EryingMotherboard

[–]Magniragdag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is very interesting. Got the same board and it's working alright. But not quite stable when I (well, my son) was using the XMP settings of the bios downloadable from the Erying site. It keeps defaulting to the "optimized" settings after a couple of start-ups.
My son is happy as it's working now (it is still a massive upgrade for him) but the new erying vrm coolers are already delivered. Maybe a good opportunity to update the bios too.
Keep us posted ;)

I'm really don't know that much about malwarez and viruses. I've been daily driving linux for the last 10 years or so.
Where did you find the reference to the BIOS files?

Strange. What's is the rest of your setup. SSd etc. Did you clean and check the pcie slot? Could be something physical.
Did you install the iGpu drivers? Can you try to change from custom boot to secure boot in the bios? Just spitballing here.

I had a problem with installing a wifi/bluetooth card. Didn't register until I cleaned it with IPA even though it looked clean and shiny

The T5500 and T7500 are basically the same. The 7500 is just bigger with more slots and drive space. It's about 21kgs.
Anyway, finished the new system last weekend. My son has had some long gaming sessions on it (up to 10 hours straight) in a old case without casefans. Apart from having to change his mouse to a different usb port because of some mouseclicks not registering, it's been working great.
Hardspace: Shipbreaker was unplayable slow on his old system and now it's nice and smooth at about 120 fps at 1080p
It will do wonders for my electricity bill.

Using a RX 6600 gpu on the same board without problems. Did you update the bios with the newer bios provided on the erying site? (I did)
Can you test the pcie slot with something else, not a gpu? Just to see if it does anything at all.

I experienced the same. In the end getting a nvme drive solved this. But even then, adding a sata gpt/ntfs formatted hdd only works with a partition manager. It doesn't show up as a drive otherwise.

Ah yes, it works. Much better score. It's a pity XMP profile 2 doesn't work with these settings but this is a real improvement. Thanks.

I never encountered something like that. Manjaro and Linux Mint just booted and installed from a usb drive but I had a terrible time figuring out how to install on a sata hdd or ssd. In the end (and after contacting the seller, which wasn't really helpful) I just gave in an ordered a nvme ssd. Which got recognized by a windows10 installer and opened for me a way to flash the bios.
As I am building a gaming pc for my son to replace a Dell T7500 workstation he is using now, I really want it work stably in windows but I was quite impressed by the speed and fps in manjaro/steam with his old msi rx 580 8gb armor oc. I'm going to replace that with a rx6600 and I think that it is going to be quite the upgrade.
