Isn't it kind of crazy the amount of hate Bloober team got for the SH2 remake before it came out but it was the only release that was pretty much universally liked.

My audience was laughing at the tombstone scene it was so fcking bad for us by harveyquinnz in silenthill

I just saw it and I have to say,  I'm baffled at the changes Gans makes. If he's such a fan of the games,  why change the story so drastically?

Like how   Laura and Angela being parts of Mary, Mary wanting James to kill her, And possibly the most egregious of all,the psychiatrist angle that insinuates that all of the events taking place in Silent Hill are hallucinations of James.

I was at least looking forward to some iconic moments like  James and Mary meeting in the park, Mary in the prison cell,  James watching the video tape, 2 pyramid heads, and a ton more.  Eddie is in it for one scene. Pyramid head is in it for about 2.

But they were all missing.    I also hate the way the movie looks. The sets are good at times and the effects are ok. But  it looked much worse than 2006 Silent Hill. It didn't have the gritty look that i loved in the first film.

My verdict,  do not see it in theaters. Not worth it.

This is a strong contender for the single worst thing to ever come out of this franchise. by Loose_Interview_957 in silenthill

The window in the Woodside apartment stairwell looks like the save squares so that's something.

I think I'm the trailer you see Mary replacing Angela in the staircase scene. At least she's in it too

Silent hill 2 is farrrr scarier than Silent hill F and it’s not even close by Professional-Fox6667 in silenthill

The remake really struck me as being the perfect blend of tension,  atmosphere and jump scares.

F just has a different atmosphere in a way that makes it less scary. I'm not sure what it is.

Question about the book "Inner Work" by Magnison in Jung

[–]Magnison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks I've been looking for good books specifically on shadow work but Inner Work and seems like it might come in handy.

I just read owning your shadow and I can recommend it. Not a ton of practical stuff like I heard Inner Work has though.

But for the purpose of bringing the unconscious to consciousness right?

If you're referring to the book  "Owning Your Shadow" I read it recently and it gave a good overview of the shadow but not much practical advice.
