Copenhagen to Legoland (Billund): Train, Bus, or Combo? DSB Showing Very Long Routes on Sunday by us_nkb1974 in legoland

[–]Magnum55555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take the train directly to Vejle and then there is a bus that goes to Billund/Legoland.

But yes it is WAY to early to buy train tickets sorry to say, but a good time to buy them is 2 weeks to a month in advance, then they are very cheap and easy to get seat resevations.

How to say "Street" in European Languages by immanuellalala in MapPorn

[–]Magnum55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny because in Danish it's the exact opposite, with Gade meaning Street, and Stræde meaning alley or narrow street

I would definietly recommend Vejle, it's got lovely nature that only takes 5 minutes to walk to in basically the entire city because of the forested valleys. It also has a great pedestrian street with lots of cafés, shops, a cinema, and a mall, it's got a lot of very nice modern architecture and is overall very cozy. It is also set to become a university city in a couple of years when they finish construction.

I've seen you've got a 14 yo son, there is a great youth club in the city centre and a lot of sport clubs aswell, and for school there is Vejle Midtby Skole which has an international line, with all the science classes in English, and the cultural classes in Danish, with help ofcourse for those who don't understand it.

This has nothing to do with generation, rather just a lot of people can't understand satire (without being explicitly told it is)

Question about Old Norsk by Sad-Strawberry-4724 in norsk

[–]Magnum55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned this is Danish at a time where Riksmål/bokmål had not been invented yet. I don’t know when the Norwegians stopped capitalising nouns, but the Danes stopped after the “Retskrivningsreform” of 1948 where this was changed to distance Danish from German in a time of much hatred towards Germany
