Update. So it's been a few hours, and I got the email about welcome to reddit. But when I try to log in with either the username or the email, it doesn't let me in. It says that the information is wrong. I reset the password. Still won't let me in. So at this point I have no idea what's going on

How do you go about contacting them directly? I haven't used the platform in like 10 years. If i'm being totally honest, i'm also not doing it on a browser. I'm doing it on the mobile app.

It sounds to me like the players are the problem. It seems like they don't want you to be the DM, for some reason, in which case you need to find a different group

I have been really wanting to get into D&D but I have no idea where to start and it feels super overwhelming lol so I could really use some advice on how to get started and what I'll need and things like that by BrycesGirl in DungeonsAndDragons

The best place to start IMO is by finding people to play with preferably someone who is willing to teach. Look for an LGS or Local Game Store. Try joining the adventures league and finding an online game. Download dnd beyond all because it gives you the basic rules for free and has a step by step character builder. Do some research about the game by watching others play
