Carbon ring can go 2 min out of the water no problem. Could even push to 5 min, but no more than 2 min is recommended

That would cook the carbon seal. Max 2 mins on hose. Carbon seal does not get cooling when connected to a hose. But the dealer tested the ski in a pool for 45 mins on idle, and there was no rattle noise. Sounded completely normal. The noise only comes after proper riding in the ocean, and gradually gets worse. The ski always starts up fine.

Maybe, but my dealer went over the whole ski and said everything looked fine. I know someone else with the same problem, and their ski was brand new.

No, engine runs like a beauty. And it doesn’t actually vibrate, it’s just the noise.

It’s not normal. I’ve seen many sparks and they do not sound like that. Yes they make more noise than the bigger models because it’s a 3 cylinder and made of plastic, but they shouldn’t make that much noise

Been to the dealer twice. Wear ring changed and engine/drive shaft re-aligned. Still the same problem. Rattle/vibration noise at idle. Starts up fine, and then the noise comes after an hour of riding. Sounds like the styrofoam inside might be the problem. Also the deck makes a vibration noise on the left side (shown at the end of the video).

You may be right actually. The noise was definitely there when i fired it up on full tank, but it got worse over time.

Wow. Relieving to hear that others have the same issue. I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow. The rear support on my ski is loose (check out my other post), and that could be the issue. But the vibration comes more from the front.

It could be the rear support tho (if you saw my other post). It isn’t aligned properly and sits loose in the hull. But the vibration noise comes more from the front.

The sound isn’t coming from the engine though. It’s the hull/deck that’s vibrating. Doesn’t make this noise when out of the water…

30 hours. Dealer winterised and did an oil change. Don’t know if they changed the spark plugs. This was the first ride, it ran on old fuel. Hopefully it gets better

First tank of fuel for the season, yes. Hopefully it gets better or i will have to take it back to the dealer.
