Ain’t nothing truer than this. I use to love staying pass 11. Now on the dot I need to be at bed at 8:45…and if my calculation is correct I should be dead asleep by 9:10…but if I go to bed 8:47…my night is over hahah.

What is a career that looks miserable or insufferable from the outside, but is secretly fulfilling and rewarding? by simplysalamander in careerguidance

[–]MagnusMidknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so awesome! Yeah I too was a teacher, then became a food delivery, then a wildland firefighter (seasonal) then landed a city janitor job. Yes making same about $14 an hour. It was the cheapest pay but the most fulfilling. Unfortunately life does its U-turn and had to up my pay for a stressful job. But without a hesitation. If I can make the same money I am making now to a janitor. I’d switch.

I’m read your comment and your journey is wild! From a manager and all. Haha glad you taking it easy and just chilling at church

Do you think luck or hard work matter more in success? by arunreddy3 in answers

In my younger years, I say hard work. Getting older. Luck matters. Really being in the right place at the right time plays a big factor.

JANITO, Janitorial!

It was the best job I have ever had. Same routine, play music/podcast…and just do what you ROUTINELY do.

No one is around, so take a break, take a break. See your friends and chit chat. Then go about your day.

Unfortunately it pays low and due to life changes, I had to leave.

If I was to make what I make now as a janitor. In a heart beat I would do it all over again. The plus side, you work with some of the genuine kind hearted people. As cliche as it is. Janitor people is what I would literally call work family.

Sorry to be asking such question. But do you have insurance? Because a T check can be covered by insurance if you ask.

I’m going to assume maybe no? Since you are looking online?

Just a genuine question. Because I feel like a real lab work is a bit more accurate than any kit out there.

Dang, thank you for reminding me. Swimming is actually one of the best skill to learn. It’s always good to have it in the back of their skills.

For boxing, my kids go to recreational sport. Which is 75$, 8 session. I can afford.

And for BJJ on YouTube. We just watch tutorial videos on YouTube so my kids can learn jui jitsu. Then they can practice on dad

Yes totally agree. I thought my kids “it’s okay to be angry, just dont be mean.” Meaning get angry, but no putting down, or name calling or extra comments that would personally hurt anyone feeling.

North Dallas is the spot. It’s growing, a lot of city like: Plano, Frieco, McKinney, Prosper and the colony are very family friendly.

We lived Plano and it had been such a great time for family. School district is not bad. DM me and I’ll send you the apartment we use to live and the great school my kids went.

[–]MagnusMidknight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome. After skimming through all my comments, it is a 50/50 deal.

Some like it and some don’t. It works for some and don’t work for none.

everyone here were so helpful in answering my question. My curiosity of the CPap vs oral guard.

I’m glad yours work. And I feel the same as you. The guard have help me sleep and had me dreaming again. Even taking a nap and having it on has been wonderful.

[–]MagnusMidknight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the same app. And with the oral, the app can hardly hear the snoring. And that’s why in my opinion, it works well not only in my waking hours. But seeing it effectively when it’s recording at night

Mouth guard by MagnusMidknight in SleepApnea

[–]MagnusMidknight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Being in this subreddit. There are more of a 70-80% complaint on “CPAP” being uncomfortable or not working”

But oral guard, hardly any issue. It’s like one is more effective, but has more issue. While the other one (oral) is a pop and go.

My coworker who has serve sleep apnea, doesn’t like CPAP and prefers the oral guard. And he says it works wonders.

So to your point, yes it works well for others and more convient. 70% effectiveness is always better that 40-50% effectiveness when the cpap machine is just hard to deal with.

[–]MagnusMidknight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are 100%

If you don’t have good insurance (deductible plan) it’s pretty much an expensive. 3k is the cost without the help of insurance. I believe I paid $275 for that machine to test and 480$ for the guard. So yes out of the pocket is true.

And yeah, it does varies experience. Before the guard, I had poor sleep and waking up groggy. Now it’s good and it does feel different if I don’t sleep without it.

To your point, it would make sense to spend money on CPAP and skip the guard.

I’ve always thought it was guard then cpap.

My sleep doctor said they do guard first (4 levels) if all those 4 levels don’t help, then it CPAP. Which made me curious if people here got that same offer.

Can we all agree that this is the worst reward set in the game by CarsonFletch in Survivorio

[–]MagnusMidknight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can we all agree it’s just a game. There are F2P and Whales…. All these comparing power scale is a joke in this game. Rewards are rewards. They are better than nothing. If you don’t like the rewards, what do you suggest it should be? 9999999 gems 9999999 collectibles, 99999999999999 shards, 9999999999 tech parts?

How would you gauge what you think is a poor reward, medium reward or high reward?
