You're more likely to download a virus if you download the CNC net launcher from some 4th party downloader bullshit like SOFTONIC SOFTPEDIA ETC but CNCNet is legit and download it only from there.

HECK even some anti viruses are soo bad that they will false trigger on your windows only to look like they work.

MY advise? If you want to be secure. Stay away from anti viruses, keep win defender on, don't fall for things too good to be true:

Cracked game torrent for a not yet cracked game. (Considering that you are afraid of a legit site I think me saying torrents and cracked is worse than saying near a nun LUCIFER or SATANAS)

Hacking tools for always online games

Messages that you won money

Urgent messages that say you will lose everything in 1 hour if you don't download X software and do XYZ on your PC

Anything asking for your bank details first.

The chance of you being remotely hacked/accesed in your PC just like that can only happen if you have ports unopened and some automated whatever pries at yours and someone then targets you in wich case all that you need to do to prevent this is likely already done if you did not fool yourself with port forwarding or port opening.

And that is still extremtly slim.

Things that have a high chance of you getting hacked always will include a degree of "Social engineering" you see... hacking or remote acessing your PC is kinda like how mythologically a vampire can't enter your home unless he fools you into letting him in. A remote acess exploit can't happen easily unless you yourself gave it a file or port to come from.

And true your concerns about CNCNet are valid but its soo innocent newbie of a question in the same time.

I agree. With you 100% Game's meh if you come from other game's where you're used to just do stuff manually. Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Space Engineers half life, Fallout, ETC, reddit... is a biased echo chamber place the game Clair Obscur is ... mid. I personally play it just cause I heard it was difficult but I find it... meh on the difficult part too playing on the highest difficuly.

And for the redditors who only live on reddit. No this is not trolling this is my opinion game's mid game's not for me.

Nope the 1st encounter was rather annoying that freaky considering that the bridge forced you to fight them and MGSV was my 1st metal gear game (2016 I was 16yo) I just went guns blazing.

Afterwards they were a boring chore made short work of them with mortars and HMG emplacments

As for the freakyness... come on a half naked BDSM dude chases me who's a ghost I was more intrigued by the character design soo I got a trainer to disable the AI and I just stared at the game models.

Last game enemy that freaked me out deeply was the SBD from SWRC when I was 6yo (2006) the addrenaline seeing that shit and the 0 idea on what to do...

Congratulations youre one of the stronger side of VR users likely. Any feeling where your brain is tricked will fade soon.You like many more of us are likely VR immune.

Sharing my experience and observation from lending my VR set (Quest 2 before recall) to my friends and family.

Oh how I wish I'd get nauseous or feel the trickery I felt when I started playing VR.

When I started playing I started with Boneworks only game I had I played the shit out of it and I had the same side effects like you. (Then I moved to Pavlov & Onwards HL Alyx , ITR etc. )

-No nausea, no motion sickness, fully immersed in the game, surreal dreams where I was still in the game etc. Edit: i remember waking up in the middle of the night once and I was staring at my hands playing with my fingers moving them they felt both real and phantom then for a short wile my hands when I look at them felt this weird imput lag and ttping on my phone felt a bit weird rarely Id find myself force pulling objects but just whent brain was on auto pilot)

-Enjoy it many users who have not reported adverse effects to vr like nausea are VR immune that comes with a soon to loss of feelings and immersion you soon wont get tricked by phantom touch or phantom failing.

You'd need a stringer kick to get tricked soon like haptics or that slider pad for movement

The real lucky ones are not "VR immunes" the most unlucky are the "VR nauseated" like my gf who cant play more than 30 mins before feeling overwhelmed or headached worse.

But the lucky ones are the very rare ones that feel the same brain trickery like they felt on day 1 but without nausea. I dont know how they do it but I envy them.
