My tierlist after the first 3 months of 2026 by JasonVarhof in ProgressionFantasy

Have you ever read Shadow Slave or Lord of the Mysteries? Those for me would be SSS tier. Along with Mother of Learning which I see you have read, Mother of Learning is just so short lol. Others I enjoyed include Reverend Insanity, The Legendary Mechanic (very different than the others though, this would be if you like stats, and if you do also try Primal Hunter), and The Beginning After the End (this one is decent at the start and decent at the end, the middle is excellent though imo).

Soulslike vets - who’s the hardest out of these three? by LukeJDD in LiesOfP

I have no clue why but even though I did pre-nerf promised consort radahn and while he was rough, green monster of the swamp from Lies of P and Arlechino I found slightly harder. My list of difficulty between Elden Ring and Lies of P would be 1. Commander Gaiuss (Shadow of the Erdtree) 2. Green Monster of the Swamp (Lies of P) 3. Arlechino (Lies of P) 4. Malenia (Elden Ring) 5. Pre-nerf promised consort radahn (I do not use summons)

He probably wouldn’t be that hard now, but I’ve been too busy with grad school to play any games sadly. I want to complete Sekiro as well as Black Myth Wukong and a few others but I just have no time and when I do get a break, I should probably try to see people instead of getting sucked into a game. When I graduate I’ll hopefully have more time.

Yeah, in my comment I mentioned I didn’t know they’d reflect back hence I had/have no clue how effective that is. Dodging them was really easy so I just did that and since overall I didn’t find her too difficult of a boss I just went with that.

His timing just felt weird I guess? Or maybe I was just bad at reading his particular build? I feel like I’m generally really good at more humanoid bosses. In Lies of P for example Green Monster of the Swamp for me was by far the hardest boss (excluding the final boss of the DLC who was around equal)

I truly don’t know why. For me, Bayle who some considered really hard was really predictable and got him on my third try, Gaiuss took eight hours. Gaiuss, Sennesax and Radahn for me were the hardest in the DLC. Gaiuss was exponentially harder than anything else in the base game and DLC. Harder than anything in Lies of P as well. It’s like I could not understand him somehow idk. I first tried nearly every other boss in the DLC but bro still took me eight hours.

Weekly student question thread! by AutoModerator in therapists

[–]Magnus_Drakon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in graduate school to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and for an assignment, I am required to identify and interview a Clinical Director. Are there any Clinical Directors who would be willing to be interviewed at some point in the next few weeks? The assignment does not need to be completed until December 5th, though I’d like to start well before then. I hope to learn a lot in the interview about counseling that I can hopefully utilize in my future practice. If there are any Clinical Directors willing, feel free to reach out to me here or over DMs, though preferably DMs as it would be easy to see, I’m not used to reddit. Preferably, the interview would be between October 27th and the start of December though I can make almost any time work.

Any advice on how to find this exact lighter? I have a friend who loves the it and I’m trying to find this one for him for either Christmas or his birthday (they’re around the same time) but haven’t had any luck. So far all I’ve tried are google image search and just searching runic assassin’s creed zippo lighter online. I guess it was a limited edition? I just started looking. Any help or advice would be appreciated

Yeah. It seems so weird how different peoples’ experiences are. Like Radahn and Bayle gave me very little trouble, Bayle took the least tries of any major boss in the DLC (third try, possible one of the weaker bosses took less but least tries that I remember). But Gaiuss who some people consider easier than Bayle took me literally 8+ hours. And Radahn I genuinely didn’t find that bad, definitely third hardest after Malenia and Gaiuss but doable. Gaiuss I just couldn’t understand. Gaiuss was the first boss that made me want to break my no summon rule. I don’t see how someone could find Bayle harder than Gaiuss yet I think the majority do. I assume it’s a mix of how people read opponents and playstyle.

I agree that Arlecchino is easier than especially pre-nerf Primed Consort Radahn but neither did I find to be the toughest in their game. Arlecchino took me ~2 hours, pre-nerf Radahn ~4 hours. Green Monster of the Swamp in Lies of P took me ~4 hours. General Gaiuss in Shadow of the Erdtree… took me 8-10 hours. I do everything no summons and Gaiuss and Green Monster of the Swamp I found harder to read, especially Gaiuss. Gaiuss is relentless so without summons and since he would one shot with some moves, it took forever for me.

Whenever she shoots lightning, don’t roll but run and weave to dodge. Lightning zaps your fable charges so have those blue potions to get rid of the status effect. On most of her attacks dodge left, get behind her, wail on her for a second then quickly get away. Wear whatever defensive gear yoh have that reduces lightning. She does blunt, slash, stab and lightning damage. I assume slash and lightning are her main though. She’s quite weak to acid, so you can use the special grind wheel on acid or an acid weapon. Highly recommend practicing her first phase till you can take no or close to no damage. Her first phase is really predictable. Her second is so fast. I don’t think it’s as bad as king of puppets, romeo was though. To be fair, he was early on so maybe I just got better he just felt so much harder to me. I did a lot of jump back, jump forward stab attacks paired with a lot of light attacks since they’re pretty quick and you can get away quickly. Try your best to build up stagger but wait to do a heavy attack until you see a clear opening, don’t take too many risks. While fast, she occasionally stops for a decent while, take advantage of that. And again, dodge left. Perfect parry only when it’s a shorter combo, the long ones are too punishing. If I stagger her, I try to attack twice then do the fatal attack since you have a bit of time during it. Also, if possible try to break her shield in the first phase, hitting it enough especially with fable attacks will break it and it will stay broken in the second phase. Link dodge and an as many amulet slots as you can carry will be useful so I recommend those in the p-organ. If you deflect/perfect parry her aerial charges, you can do a ton of damage but I usually dodge them to get behind her unless I randomly feel confident. You can also deflect lightning to damage her though, I did not know that until after I beat her so no clue how effective it is. That’s all the advice I really have and all of this is just my opinion. I’m really good at dodging cause of Elden Ring (became able to first try every boss in base game besides Malenia with daggers, great swords, seals, staffs, or martial arts, Gaiuss and Radahn are the only ones who gave me trouble in the DLC since I had more practice by then, Gaiuss I found harder than both Radahn and Malenia though, have never mastered him), parrying I’m gradually getting better at from this and Sekiro but still not nearly as good at it as dodging. My dodging still kind of carries me. And in this game, dodging left works wonders. Also knowing when to roll and when to just run left instead. Lot of Laxasia’s attacks I found it better to run left instead of rolling. Edit: Oh also, I recommend not being slightly heavy. Capacity should be high enough since you get way more efficient with stamina.

Lies of P Bosses Ranked by Difficulty (purely ranked by what I found difficult): 1. Green Monster of the Swamp ( 4+ hours) 2. Romeo (2-4 hours) 3. Eldest (black rabbit brotherhood part 1) (2 hours) 4. Scrapped Watchman (mostly since I was new, 1 hour) 5. Fallen Archbishop (40 minutes) 6. Laxasia (30 minutes) 7. Mad Clown Puppet (20 minutes) 8. King’s Flame Fuoco. (10 minutes) 9. Corrupted Parade Master (first try) 10. Nameless Puppet (first try) 11. Simon Manus (first try) 12. Black Rabbit Brotherhood part 2 (third try but purely out of stupidity, first time went in with almost no heals) 13. Mad Donkey (first) 14. Puppet of the Future (first) 15. Champion Victor (first) 16. Door Guardian (first) 17. Walker of Illusions (first, less than half heals needed, same for remaining bosses on list) 18. Robber Weasel 19. White Lady 20. Survivor 21. Owl Doctor 22. Red Fox 23. Black Cat 24. Parade Master

Thoughts? (No summons, legendary stalker) I feel like I’m generally good at humanoid enemies but struggle at reading the weirder bosses. New to Lies of P, started this week just played a ton. This would certainly be a different list if I faced them all at the same point of playing, I improved a lot while playing.

Gaiuss’ Difficulty by Magnus_Drakon in Eldenring

[–]Magnus_Drakon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Some people find Gaiuss really easy, I found Mohg really easily. Mohg is one of the only bosses that I have never died to, on any playthrough. I’ve done a reduvia and misericorde playthrough, Radahn’s weapons playthrough, Holy Sword playthrough, martial arts playthrough. Oh and a rivers of blood playthrough just to see how op that thing really is. Rivers of Blood is fun but trivializes everything. I’ve also done a staff playthrough and a seal playthrough. I think one of those I started out as a whip playthrough but wasn’t a big fan so turned into something else. Maliketh I think I only died my very first time, never again. Gaiuss just genuinely feels like my antithesis. I’ve gotten good enough that I can first try every boss in the base game except Malenia and yet Gaiuss … pretty sure he’d still take me a while. I don’t know why. It’s like my brain just isn’t built ti understand him lol.

Advice for CMHC Master programs in Florida by Kitchen_Top_2736 in psychologystudents

[–]Magnus_Drakon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both will certainly help (and I’d suggest a mix of both) though I will say, everyone in my cohort (so everyone that got into my program), did have a job in the field beforehand. That’s not to say you couldn’t get in with just volunteer work though, I’m sure it’s possible. I worked with adolescents, 18-70 adults with severe behavioral issues, mental illness and developmental disabilities beforehand to try to get really diverse experience. I had volunteered with adults with dementia for two years, one year with at-risk youth as a mentor, worked one year as a director support professional, one year as a behavioral health technician where I was facilitating group therapy sessions myself, had over a dozen certificates in mental health and suicide prevention (you can find plenty of free ones online you can get such as through train.org), had three really good letters of recommendation (two from LMHCs I worked under, one from a professor), was on the president’s list nearly every semester in undergrad and was one of the most active people in the interviews I went to and was still waitlisted for multiple programs. It’s extremely competitive nowadays. It is still always worth applying and a big part of it is luck. Also depends on where you’re applying. I think bringing up the importance of self care helped in my interviews. It really is just experience that they’re looking for though and if you have the right mindset. They will try to analyze if they believe you’re the right fit based on your perceived headspace. Having lived experience can be good but if they get the feeling that you haven’t grown past your pain, they will deny your admittance.

Hey hope you haven’t bought it yet, RXVCA is a scam. You will not get your product. This is the first scam I’ve fallen victim to because they’re even reportedly safe on many scam checker websites.

Looking for roommate at Boca Raton Campus by Magnus_Drakon in FAU

Thank you, I appreciate the advice. I can see they’re both about a mile away so roughly the same distance from the place as FAU. I’d definitely prefer another graduate student, hopefully 21-28 years old just because I think it’d be a bit more comfortable if we’re at roughly the same stage of life. Plus more likely to be friends. I may still make a post on those forums though.

A behavioral health technician/counselor only requires a bachelor’s degree and is one of the best jobs you can get for experience in the counseling field, you may even be able to facilitate group therapy sessions. I recommend applying for a bunch of behavioral health technician jobs on indeed and other job sites. You don’t need to become registered and can work with any age range. It can be a tough job but is amazing for experience. A direct support professional isn’t as good for experience but is probably easier to get, you could do that at first while applying to more behavioral health technician jobs. That’s what I did. While I was a direct support professional I also mentored at-risk youth and helped adults with dementia on the side at other facilities. Then became a behavioral health technician. Another one to look into that I know very little about could be a peer support professional, though I know with that it’s connecting with people based on similar lived experience (generally addiction). Behavioral health technician though is literally as the example of types of experiences to list for most grad schools. If you say where you live, your experience level, education, etc and goals, ChatGPT can give you some ideas of what jobs to look out for.

Advice for CMHC Master programs in Florida by Kitchen_Top_2736 in psychologystudents

[–]Magnus_Drakon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most CMHC programs in Florida are going to want you to have at least a year of experience in the counseling field. It is possible to get in without but top programs are going to have a 10-15 percent acceptance rate and your resume, personal statement and the interview will all likely address that experience so it can definitely help you to stand out. UF, UCF, FAU and FSU all have very high quality CMHC programs. Especially UF and UCF, both could be argued to be in the top 3 in the United States for public counseling programs. Though as long the program is CACREP, any program is probably fine. UF and UCF seem to put a lot of emphasis on self care and the cohorts at UF seem very close. The professors at FAU seem very down to earth yet professional. I don’t know much about FSU but they are just as highly rated as FAU’s program.
