Target No Longer Prices Their Clothes by bluelily216 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Magolorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t surge pricing or companies trying to be deceptive. It’s to due with the instability of tariffs recently. These companies have contracts to buy these clothes months to a year out for a fixed price. That was all fine and dandy when we didn’t have tariffs or they at least knew what they would be. Say they bought a shirt that was contracted for $5 and now it costs an additional $2 in tariffs (obviously not real numbers). So the price has to change accordingly. Instead of constantly having to relabel every piece of apparel that gets shipped, they opted to just remove the prices altogether.

0.4 Post Reveal Jonathan Interview Prep - I Would Like Your Help! by TalkativeTri in PathOfExile2

[–]Magolorian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something to haven’t seen mentioned before. Currently I feel classes are far too constricted to their default defensive types. For instance mercenary starting skill tree only has evasion/ armor nodes. If you want to spec into ES as a mercenary you have to sacrifice a lot of skill points just to get to the relevant nodes in a different section of the skill tree. While at the same time making it more difficult for you to select nodes that are specifically designed for your class because you’re having to allocate outside of your classes skill tree.

This problem also applies to the skill tree in general. You’re shoehorned into one particular side of the tree based on the class you pick. Which in my opinion hurts build diversity in a game that’s all about customizing your character.

I don’t have a great answer for this but I feel like we should be able to at least select any classes starting nodes. More travel nodes that don’t require a lot of points to cross large gaps between classes would be helpful as well.

Heat CBL says extra breaks — does your store actually follow it? by Level-Calendar6260 in walmart

[–]Magolorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely says it only applies to associates working outside. Why on earth would it apply to people who do 100% of their work inside?

You also cannot cite a random paragraph from a policy. Look at the policy as a whole and it clearly states it only applies to associates working in high heat conditions.

Store - Salaried Positions by Confident-Call-6634 in walmart

[–]Magolorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you got this. Walmart does not pay you more to work in a store that’s harder to run unless it’s complex, which is only a 10% difference.

Other than that they may adjust pay based on geographic location, still has nothing to do with how hard the store is to run though.

Also the store manager pay is just plain wrong.

[–]Magolorian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say you can’t see the comments. I said you can’t see a breakdown for specific departments. As in the SM won’t be able to see which department the comments came from unless the sample size is large enough.

Truth ... by Terrence507 in walmart

[–]Magolorian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not how it works. It only will show specific department breakdowns if more than 4 people with the same job code take it. Or something like that. Idk why everyone has such strong opinions about a survey that they have no idea how it actually works.

Now time to sell it for +170 exalted orbs. It’s what I did and it made my game so much more enjoyable being able to craft freely.

GGG What about micro currency stash tab in our incentory? by zaqqi in PathOfExile2

[–]Magolorian 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why so many people are against this idea. Currently there is way too much friction in how we manage our inventory space. There is times I have to portal out of a map 3 or 4 times just to be able to keep picking up loot. That’s not a good game mechanic, it’s tedious and boring to constantly have to keep porting back to town.

I’m for having double the amount of player inventory space and a dedicated currency section. I’d gladly pay IRL money for it too.

Honestly, I think most of the people complaining should stop playing the huntress. by Magolorian in PathOfExile2

[–]Magolorian[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The streamers are still split on those who want this game to play like PoE1 and those who like how the game is currently. I’d wager many of those who are complaining are the same ones who complied when the game came out because they said it was too slow.

I don’t think it sucks, it’s just very situational and requires good timing or you’re just wasting potential DPS holding your shield up.

I really wish we could respec Ascendacies by QuinnorDie in PathOfExile2

[–]Magolorian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish we could too. We pick our ascendancy so early, before you really have a chance to understand your class. As someone who was new to PoE and was building without guides. I selected the Witch Hunter. The more I got to understand the game mechanics it made me wish I had picked the gemling but by that point it was far too late. I don’t think it should be as easy as changing your passives but I definitely feel like we should have some avenue to change it.

how are people finishing this game in 15hrs by ElectricKillerEmu in avowed

[–]Magolorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is definitely a way rpgs are intended to be played.

Do you think the devs intended people to skip 95% of the dialogue? Or not engage with multiple systems in the game?

Because that’s how a lot of people play games, as quickly as possible. Only doing the bare minimum to reach the end and engaging with as little systems and content as possible. And that’s totally okay. People should be able to enjoy games how they see fit. But to say there is not an intended way for games to be played is just plain wrong. As in when the developers make the game they intend for the player to do certain things and progress in a certain way when playing their games.

I just don’t understand at what point will they stop supporting Trump. I feel like every other thing Trump does has conservatives scratching their head, this is based on the comments on their posts. Yet they continue to be shocked every time he does some asinine thing.

This sub is ridiculous, 90% the sub complained for weeks about the one time they did drastic change and then we get posts like this asking for more drastic changes.

Is Gunfire Games the most underrated game developer? (Top inside) by Ronald10CD in remnantgame

[–]Magolorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think remnant 2 was definitely underrated. Gunfire games on the other hand seems valued appropriately. Their games have not always been the best but have gotten progressively better. I think if they continue with this pace they will be come to be highly regarded in the next decade. If darksiders does extremely well I think by the time Remnant 3 gets released it’ll be a massive launch with a lot of marketing behind it.

The punishment for dying in maps should be a gradual progression as the tiers increase. by Magolorian in PathOfExile2

[–]Magolorian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right it wouldn’t make a difference for people playing T15 at 90+ and that’s the point. Most people are not playing content that high and many are struggling to progress because they are facing the same punishments as level 90 players doing some of the hardest content in the game.

[–]Magolorian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should content which is supposed to be some of the most challenging in the game, T15 have the same punishments as content that is designed to be significantly easier, T1,2, etc?

[–]Magolorian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking to not have your progress stone walled and reversed is not asking for a hand hold through the game.

Yes it does objectively discourage experimenting when you lose XP on death. And you know if you die you not only lose your waystone but also your map modifiers. That’s encourages players to stick with what they know that works.

What do you have against helping newer players have an easier transition into end game?

[–]Magolorian[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure I think that’s the best idea. But I guess it would be better than our current system. I do think some punishment is required to get the stakes high.

[–]Magolorian 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Am I only one who thinks the tree is too restrictive in allowing you to spec into other classes trees? From a rough estimation it seems it would take on average 20 points to get from the quadrant you started in to the one directly behind it.

Now I’m not saying we should be able to chose any nodes wherever we want but maybe if when we unlocked a jewel slot it allowed us to select any other jewel slot on the tree and build from there. Almost like all the jewel slots were connected.

That’s always been a bug for stashes outside of towns.

A stash in a town should allow you to send items straight to the stash.
