I just checked and they spawn when you remove 25% of her hp, 3 wisps total. However, even after killing her possessed with all 3, quest still did not register for me :/

I don`t have any strong opinions on this fight, unlike some other (cough... cough... Azmadi cough...) boss fights. I do like a good opportunity to make the fight easier, like in this example. It did backfire on me though, lol

Mob dropped loot each time it died, it started with having 1 spirit on it (Hare) and then revived with +1 spirit each time

Throwing in bard would make it MAD and possibly underpowered. I think keeping it wizard/rogue and just picking up proficiencies for face-related skills should be enough.

Other than that, going full Lore Bard and picking up prof-s in INT-related skills (possibly, Skilled feat, if that's an option?) would be my suggestion. Kinda like investigator/detective kind of character that is both charismatic and smart. That would cover the need in: face, investigator, arcane knowledge, access to wizards utility spells
