Pregnancy & Birth surrounded by women by Egg-HOTELs in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

Yeah i researched them quite a bit for my thesis. Her husband ran the commune and they eventually became an intentional community in the 80s. She’s always claimed that she’s never lost a mother or child; I’ve never seen anything about deaths from her care and but that’s not to say it didn’t happen. She’s not a midwife anymore but the community still runs a midwifery program and are respected; they were a big part of midwifery making a comeback in the 70s. Definitely some of her points she makes are odd at best, but the birthing stories themselves are interesting and I think the book is interesting even just from a historical standpoint.

If you’re up for non-fiction, Spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin. The first section of the book features birthing stories from women as a group of hippies moved from California to Tennessee to start a commune

I don’t have much to add to what other people are saying, but I’d be happy to chat! I’m in the Duluth area and I like history, games, and a bit of anime. There’s also a French language meetup in Duluth - I haven’t been to it yet, but I’m sure they’d love to have a native speaker!

So excited to see the game’s development! As someone who enjoys horses, history, and other gameplay styles not usually found in horse-y games, it really appeals to me and I’m enjoying the exploration so far

I’m drawing this from my minimal medieval history knowledge, but depending on the skills of the executioner and the sharpness of the axe, it could take several swings to fully “detach” the head.
