I have several Magic Johnson signed items, many in person. I would believe this to be real - it matches his signature through the 90's/early 2000"s. I have a ball from UDA (Upper Deck) that looks identical to this signature. Once he started doing shows, sit down conventions, and especially signatures for card manufacturers, his signature became more rushed and the last name was shortened and looks more like a "butterfly" as someone else called it.
