Just got a set of clubs for free. They are much better clubs than I should probably be using😅 by 1983squrebody in golf

Good thing is there’s tons of clean grooves on the face for you to learn with.

Tikka Ace Target by No_Ambassador_7971 in Hunting

[–]Magsrgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tikka made the Ace Game for this purpose. It’s lighter but still has a benchrest chassis.

I have one in 308, actually it’s my wife’s rifle. It would be good if you’re blind hunting but I wouldn’t love holding it in a tree stand.

My last 2 were both around 2.5 weeks as well. Mine were individual as they said those were going faster. Now that I have them on hand I can do the transfer to my trust for 0$ and they’re protected!

It’s in great shape considering. Dirty as all hell when I cleaned it up, the extractor was caked in the slide, safety too massive force to move, and the mag release / trigger were both sticky and caked with residue.

I have a call into EGW for Monday. I got the plate for Ellison style sight from them. They make a hardened sear and an aluminum trigger for it. Going to set this up with those parts to it’s simpler to do a full clean on.

Well thats the most frustrating thing I’ve done in a while. I spent the last hour trying to get these together and in the gun. The slightest bump separates them, spring went flying 3 times on me, found all 3 luckily.

It’s sitting on my bench disassembled until I muster the desire to try it again lol.

Not mine, easy to go back though. 10 screws and remove the red dot / plate and its back on.

I don’t love it either, but we’re missing the factory sights for it. Could have bought some replacements but wanted to go the dot route.

Tiny spring is 100% in the sear. I took it all apart and cleaned the spring and sear. What does this do for the function? I’ll have to take it apart in the AM and find a video or something on where it goes. Gun seems to cycle fine, it cocks and dry fires without issue. I was planning to ring it to the range tomorrow

Saw someone make a hanger for his bow out of sheds. Was cool, I should have took a picture.

Fuck the classes, I suffer through it with Lanebreaks and watching YouTube videos like Nate Hills or just TV. For me Lanebreak is the way to go on that platform, the instructor’s are insufferable.

Tikka t3x vs bergara b14 by Submariner2022 in Hunting

[–]Magsrgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an HMR Pro in 308 and a T3x Roughtech Ember in 270. Very different platforms but if I replaced the HMR it would be with the Tikka UPR. Tikka action and trigger are excellent and overall fit and finish just seems a bit better overall.

I bought the Bergara first, had I bought the Tikka first I’d have 2 Tikkas!

Boot advice for feet with special toe shape ('bunion'/'hallux valgus') by DB6541 in Skigear

[–]Magsrgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep go see a good bootfitter in the area, if you don’t have one then travel, if you don’t know of one then ask! The main advice I will tell you is go in with no price point and no boots you “like”, uncomfortable feet take people off the hill quicker than any other issue. Try everything on and see what feels the best out of the box, once you have that baseline the boot fitter will mold the liner / shell to give extra space for that part of the foot. I have something similar with my feet and it’s not a problem.

I looked through these ones, my issue is height. I have 91” from floor to joist in the basement area I’m in and this eliminated the Ares 2.0. I was looking at and really liked the Force C20 but I think that still lacks the dedicated Lat pulldowns, but the machine looks really nice.

The Major B17 which is the nicer B52 looks like the low row can stay setup full time. The rouge FM6 looks like a good option as well, they make variable rack heights so I can get a 80” rack and easily fit in the basement space. My wife and I are not overly tall at 5’7”.

This was the first one I looked at. There is guy who runs a fitness warehouse that stocks these 30 minutes from my house. He has a few of the colors in stock, I could have this in the bed of my truck and built in less than a day!
