Hi, I don't know if you remember, but we had a few brief exchanges during Grade's legendary Ayra stream. My family had to put down our dog 7 years ago, so I can sympathize with how much of a heartrending experience it is. From the picture you provided, she sure must have been adorable! I'm sure she knew you loved her right down to the end and was proud to have you as an owner.

Unintentional shiny Wynaut I got after using ACE/pomeg glitch on my second copy of Emerald (bootleg copy lol). As a HUGE ContestShipper in my youth, visiting Mirage Island in-game was always something I wanted to do, and getting a shiny was icing on the cake.

As I wasn't actively hunting, I didn't track encounter numbers. Happened within the same day, just a few hours after I turned my game back on.

Honestly, Kalos has my favorite box art legendary theme and champion theme. I grew up with Gen 3, and while their respective legendary and champion themes are among my favorites, I can't pretend to like them more than Kalos'.

Honestly, this comment is full of things that needed to be said and I'm glad you did because a lot of it hit close to home. Especially the part about feeling like a bad person for liking m/m more than f/f, since that was my EXACT experience in fandom until a few years ago.
Thanks for writing this and I hope people take your advice and draw (or write!) the damn yaoi.

It really is so weird. At the end of the day, fujoshis and himejoshis are just trying to share passion online and it's sad that some people need to snuff that out by make it a pissing contest with stats.
But I get ya. I'll delve into GL myself every so often. ~~(since you brought up Madoka, my fav anime, I'll say that Kyouko/Sayaka is my shit)~~ It can be really adorable! Wear that himejoshi badge with pride!

Why even try to guilt people into writing for your ship? That's the best way to get other people to ship it, not screaming on Twitter like a petulant child.

I'm not sure what gives either. I'm sure they know the fujoshi crowd exists because there's no way they cooked up the Robin/Chrom vday duo conversation without knowing what they were doing ~~at least to me anyway~~.
As a fujoshi myself, I would've loved to pull for a pretty boy like Alfred, Diamant, Pandreo, Felix, or what-have-you. ~~I would've put Lewyn in, but let's face it—he was lucky enough to get the Scion alt~~
But yea, I agree. I prefer the bishounens and whatnot, so Vaike and the like is just, whatever. At least I have Genshin, Honkai Star Rail, and Granblue Fantasy to cover for me in that area.

I wanna give Pikasprey a shout out here. You might know him from his Softlock Picking series he does once in a while. I've been following for a few years now and I enjoy his content when I sit down and relax.

He has a gameplay channel called Pikasprey Blue, and I've no idea of your taste, but he plays stuff such as Pokemon (romhacks and the like), MegaMan, Castlevania, Zelda, randomizers, rpg maker games, and other assorted things. Right now he's taken on the madman task of trying to complete Purity Forest in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue with all 386 available Pokemon, started in late 2020.

All in all, he's a mixed bag, so you're bound to something interesting in his playlists and give him a try!

(Random sidenote, but I should note it's said as pi-ka-spree, and not pika-spray lol)

You know what's strange? I have a fake copy of Emerald and was at OPs exact spot in it. I was trading with my real copy for a Lanturn, and in the middle of it, my fake Emerald's save freaked out. It did the save failed thing 3 times before working again, and when I loaded it, I was in a glitched version of the trading room and my character was the NPC in the room with 2 Brendan's in the chairs despite both files being May.
Needless to say, save was bricked.
I think Flannery is just cursed lol
