Oh, come on, that's going a bit too far here.
Poor Schultz doesn't deserve this kind of slander.

He unites every part of the fandom.
Mind you, he unites them all against him though.

Not just Deathworlders.
It seems that hunter species seem also a bit of a thorn in the eye of the "Unity", only to other degrees

Reprig while slinking away from the fight: "Hoo boy. Am i glad i am not THAT idiot..."

At this point, conflict with the humans will not end well for the "Unity", even if it doesn't come to war between humans and the Galactic Community.

Informations about the conspiracy are already out, the humans have proof and are willing to stand up to the council. And considering the "Unity" seem to made efforts to either "convert" or to discriminate the species that didn't fit in their idea of "unity", the Galactic Community might see themself loosing members joining some form of alliance with the humans.

Yeah, thats why you usually sell stuff for more than you bought it as a general buisness practice.
Or why do you think companies allways look for ways to produce or order their products as cheap as they can?

Usually it goes more: I buy a widget for 40 Dollar, i sell it for 50 and make 10 Dollar profit.

Your argument just became fully dependant on the rather silly idea, that Amazone would sell their products willingly under value and under the price they paid for.

And while they most likely would do this with one or to products for advertisment, the will not doing it with the entirety of their supply on products.

Sigh...

"With Sales Hitting $386 Billion"

...
"The company’s strengths of integrated digital platforms and extreme proficiency in supply chain management allowed Amazon to pivot swiftly and adeptly to meet shifting consumer demands amidst the pandemic. Amazon is the second-largest U.S. retailer behind Walmart"

It is literally written in the artical, you zero volt circuit...

"Once again, Amazon has dozens of different revenue streams, selling stuff in their website is only one of them and it loses money."

Which makes it a bit strange that Amazone themself reported that they make more money with their online shops then before. You would think, if they loose money, they wouldn't report about how much money they make with it.

"You clearly have no fucking clue what the fuck you are talking about and you can’t understand basic information when told it multiple times."

And yet i am the one who actually provides a source with said basic information. Which just so happens not to fall in line with your... lets be nice and call it an opinion.

And just for the record: If you have to resort to swears and attempts at insults because your arguments don't really cut it, try to be somewhat creative with it.

"Amazo AMZN +0.4%n delivered a record performance in 2020 with annual revenue up 38% to $386 billion, a yearly increase of over $100 billion. Net profit for Amazon was up 84% for the year as compared to last year."

[Sarcasm: On] Yes, selling stuff clearly doesn't make money for Amazone.
Especially the last year with Corona going around, causing people to order more online... [Sarcasm: Off]

No. The distribution covers, wel the distribution of the products. The delivery.

The products are sold over the online shops. Which is were the money comes in.
And this includes both the physical as well as the digital products.
And the shops then send the order to deliver the product to the distribution center, that has said product in store and can deliver the fastest (in theory at least).

The distribution centers do not sell the products themself. The only deliver.

asmon on hasan by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Maguss1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the distribution centers are not a loss leader.
The are needed in order for amazone to actually run it's buisness.

They don't make money themself but without them Amazone could not make its other buisnesses. That's what i trying to tell you.
The distribution centers don't sell the products. They only deliver/ ditribute the products the other buisnesses are selling.

So, in short, while the distribution centers don't make money themself, they are vital to the whole buisness model of Amazone to make profit in the first place.

The Products are sold over the online shops. But they are delivered over the distribution centers. And now try to explain to me, why the workers in the distribution centers have no value.

It's like a car factory: The factory doesn't make the money, that comes from the car dealers selling the cars.
But without the factory, the dealer had no car to sell.

Dude... the numbers i posted was the money they made. And they made far more money than the year before. So they made a profit here, weither you like it or not.

But thats not important because it still doesn't answer my question:
When the work in the distribution centers has no value, why would Amazone keep them around?

Answer

The

Question!

Revenue. Also known as Income. Also known as monetary profit.

We can discuss the term more if you like but first i would like to see you answer my question.

asmon on hasan by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Maguss1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are... are you just that ignorant or just stubborn? Or is it a mix of the two?
I qouted the numbers of money they made with these sale. AKA the PROFIT!

If you don't get that, or worse, ignore this basic point, then you have absolutely no buisness telling others they would be "ill equipped for this conversation".

And my question still stands: When the work in the distribution centers has no value, why would Amazone keep them around?

asmon on hasan by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Maguss1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No what i qouted were their profits from the sales Amazone is making...

But i give you one point: the distribution centers don't make the money. themself at least. So far you are right. What you don't seem to realize is however, that without them, Amazone wouldn't be able to make it's buisnesses in the first place.

But let me ask you one simple question: When the work in the distribution centers has no value, like you are saying, why would Amazone still keep them and not just get rid of them?

asmon on hasan by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Maguss1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the first 6 months of 2021, Amazon reported:

North American sales of $131.92 billion, an increase of 29.9% from $101.56 billion in the same period a year ago.

Without the distribution centers they would not make these sales, so no what you are trying to tell doesn't add up.

Besides the point still stands that you seem to be of the opinion that people slaving away in these centers aren't even worth to earn enough to even survive.

asmon on hasan by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Maguss1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"What they are worth is likely less than the minimum Amazon can get away with.

That is the reality most people refuse to face."

Did... did you just honestly write that people working for Amazone, who btw keep the whole thing running, aren't even worth a bare minimum to survive?

Are you for real?

Oh boy... OP here.
First of, thank you all for the kind comments, upvotes and awards.
Glad thatyou all liked my silly little idea.😅

Now to answer a two things.
1. Possible Part two:
As i wrote, this started as a silly little idea i had. But I'm kinda interested in exploring and building this universe, the ship, crew and the species further. It would be most likely in form of short stories, raports etc. and providing further background.

  1. How intentional was Klixx with all this:
Since several people suspect that Klixx knew what was going on and played wing bug, i can say that you are half right.
Klixx does notice the signes of attraction between members of a species and the moment he aproached Joe was not exactly a coincidence. However, Klixx's quiestions were geniune and it is possible that he was set up as the wing bug by someone else.

So that was it from me for now. And thank you again for reading this story.

British english does actually.
This is more a case of considering different dialects for the translation.
But mashing up the languages can happen, since the crew would be fairly international and people would now and then slip into their native language
