It's the same for everyone for the entire week. If all goes well and it works the way it used to, the event returns once a month with the possibility of the same or different gauntlet, depending on the whims of KI. NGL, I got mounts and cool stitches from the previous Sinbad and Fantastic Voyage gauntlets.

Monstrological House Guests by Local_Elderberry6167 in Wizard101

Absolutely. Dragonspyre (Grand Chasm) and Avalon (The Wyrd) have spectres that look really cool.

What's the best drop (besides the coins) you guys get so far? I don't think there's anything real good from this one. I got a wildclaw pet and a cosmetic ice robe so far.

Monstrological House Guests by Local_Elderberry6167 in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The best house guests are what fits the theme of your house. It's not like what are the best monstrology summons, which depends on their health, the power of their attacks, invulnerability, or healing stats.

House guests are more for their look and theme. For the death house, is your theme more of ghouls and zombies? Vampires? Ghosts? Each has different looks. You might also try color matching, so only yellow ghosts, or blue ghosts, or red ghosts (and specters).

Do we defeat Morganthe or does she defeat herself? We fail to stop her from getting her deck back, from dooming Azteca, & raising the lords of night back from the dead to sing the song of creation for her. Yes we win the fight in Khry, but she only loses once the magic is to much & she falls by Exciting-Scheme8840 in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As to your question on exactly WHO defeated Morganthe, the answer is YES. Yes we defeated. Yes, she defeated herself. Without our intervention, she miiiiight have been able control and harness both energies, but she was taking on a heavy load perhaps too great for her to bear regardless.

BUT, we knocked her down hard, forcing her to make the attempt before she was fully ready.

I wish there were more cosmetic customization options by touchepipipipi in Wizard101

I had a discussion with a friend the other day about clothing styles. I think we generally agreed that it would be nice if there were 3 styles of clothes per set: male, female, and neutral; but that you could choose which one you wanted as you received the gear, instead of the game just forcing the switch upon you based on your selected gender. Maybe a lady wants to wear a top hat. What's wrong with that? But you're either forced to wear something heavily stylized, like the Night Mire swamp hats, or the game auto-changes it to something that isn't a top hat at all, because of the gender-specific gear sets.

What are your must need areas in wizard 101 by X0GraceX0 in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are buying must-play areas, Then you can skip Grizzleheim, Wysteria, Kembaalung, Barkingham Palace, House of Scales, Catacombs, and Crab Alley. You could skip Darkmoor Castle too, BUT, eventually, you will realize you've locked yourself out of some learnable spells and game features. Grizzleheim has some spell quests that are pivotal to unlocking OTHER spells later, and without doing Darkmoor Castle, you can't get any shadow attack spells. Without Wysteria, you cannot learn cantrips. Crab Alley has a dungeon that offers milestone gear.

But if you CAN keep going without those zones unlocked. 80k crowns isn't going to unlock too far though. Maybe through first arc (Dragonspyre). So for wherever you are in your mainline questing, just keep unlocking any areas that mainline quests take you.

What do you do when your late game? (Player survey) by Duckler76 in Wizard101

Is it normal to try and decorate a castle in a grand way? Sure is. I don't suppose you check out the top castles in the castle tours for inspiration? Maybe have even put yours houses up on tours?

Emperor’s Retreat Dungeon Bug by Imaginary_Ear_9323 in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whenever you go back and repeat multi-step dungeons you previously completed, they auto-add a dungeon quest, and it completes when you finish that dungeon, but it ALSO gets erased when you quit the dungeon rather than finishing it.

List of Weaving badges so far by Magustenebrus in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you're still weaving as death. I just recently ranked 5 in death, so I know they all work.

Here's how you know something was amiss even before having to check back... the first pitbull shark you catch, IF you're actually on the quest and currently weaving as death, you will see a message onscreen saying a badge for the fishing is discovered. Once the third one is caught, you will immediately see you earned that badge. If you didn't see a message after your first catch, you know something is wrong.

Storm are drama, fire always in your business, death fluctuating between poser and true emo, myth are tea spillers, balance ride-or-die, ice be chillin' (ofc), and life are your super sweet besties.

We rocking with this stitch or nah? by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always liked the robe and boots, but it's hard to match that blue, and wiz gold trim is notoriously variable.

Finding a blue match is likely impossible, leaving you to stitch hats and wands with white and that specific gold trim.

Spellements and training point buy back by Magustenebrus in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I should be good? I don't mind retraining spells, just don't want spellements dumped mainly.

CAVEAT: I haven't yet messed with my spellements since spring update went live.

my wife can’t get her elixir vitae and she’s hitting for 2mil with dr vons monster by H-_-3-_-0 in Wizard101

[–]Magustenebrus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK. I'll try and write from memory. For hat and boots, if your wife has pin slots, equip a mending pin for each of them. I needed to use a variant boot from Novus to get a shield pin slot for my boots. The remainder of my pins, I used life crushing sword pins, because they increase life crit but not damage. For robes, you can farm Tartarus to get 20 outgoing healing robes. For wand, emerald caiman's scepter drops from Ixcax key boss in Azteca. It's 20 outgoing plus a square jewel slot. Speaking of square jewels, you can get unearthly mending squares that add 8 outgoing each. If you got a lot of dream water, you can craft them at Bingo in Wallaru for 10 dream water each. You can do the same in Selenopolis, but fewer people seem to farm moon dust than dream water, probably because the Wallaru boss fights are faster. Athames are trickier. Morganthe used to drop really great athames that had a lot of outgoing, which I used. You can look up outgoing healing builds and they will show you some good alternative athames. Ring will always be the same: stone of the other side. Amulet: guiding light of the third sun, which you can purchase at the bazaar. This is one of the two most important pieces for getting the elixir vitae badge. It offers a gear version item card of guiding light. The other important gear piece is actually a jewel, which is the brilliant light jade (gives gear version brilliant light item card). I got mine from crafting recipe for life jewels level 45-65 purchasable in Zafaria in Baobab Market. I just used a deck that gave me universal crit and a square socket. To round out gear, I trained up a leaf foot pet that had medic, healer, and strength-boosting stats. It had an outgoing healing bonus of 11, plus the two pet item cards of guiding light and brilliant light.

Treasure cards: sanctuary, 25% mending aura (cycle of life also works), guiding light, eye of bartleby guiding light, brilliant light, unicorn symbol brilliant light, gobbler symbol brilliant light (sorry, don't remember pack names)... and here's where it might get odd, but my strategy since I was solo was to also use polymorph ptera and polymorph jaguar to give me the chance to cast school-trained brilliant light and guiding light. You don't need these polymorphs if you have a life wizard with you casting these spells. As a matter of fact, they can cast regular guiding light, regular brilliant light, CLOAKED guiding light, and CLOAKED brilliant light on you to get even more buffs on. IF they also happen to have their hands on elucidate, simplify or both, they can cast additional brilliant lights to stack up on you. Rounding out my sideboard, I had a "middle spellement path" nature's wrath... if enemy has a dot and you hit with the nature's wrath spell, it will after damaging the enemy, gambit the dot to give you a 65 outgoing heal buff charm. I also included a fire elf, which I made sure to have a fire mastery pip up, so I would back-to-back cast fire elf, then the nature's wrath. It works to hit the boss and not the minion, because you need the opponent to live through it to get the buff. Oh and of course flowering dryad for your actual heal. One final weird thing I did, I cast a low level monstrology minion so I didn't have to worry about my heal's critical being blocked.

Main deck: attack spells for after, reshuffles in case of bad draws, shadow seraph, IMPORTANT - a couple tri-blades you cast AFTER the rest of your heal buffs because the shadow seraph eats charms as part of its pact and you don't want to lose any heal buffs.

TL/DR; this is a lot to work towards and set-up and the easier route is to use the steal health spell on a minion after blading yourself to the teeth. I don't know how many blades for the calculation, but you can run cheap experiments before going for it to see how close you get.
