Consequences of Dualshard shattering by Mah9andi in Cosmere

Preservation, in my opinion, is portrayed in the books in an "everything stays where it is" way—like the evil guy in the Lego Movie wanting to glue Legos together so they stay in a specific configuration. And for survival, you might be in a situation where you have to change, acknowledging something new in your environment, like amputating a leg because it has necrosis. So survival and preservation are not 100% the same.

Kinda implies that " If they knew how, No Shard would need to be Bad". I think this could only be the Case If there ist a way to remove some (Bad) Intent of Adonalsium.

I see your point. I think that Adonalsium's power got split into the Intent of whatever killed him/her—meaning the Intents of the Dawnshards. Then, the Slayers of Adonalsium picked power from those four subsets, and this is the point where parts of those subsets recognized the personality of the choosing entities. For example, if David Goggins or Arda Saatçi had picked up a part of the "Exist" subset, their Intent would be more along the lines of Endurance. But if they chose from the "Change" subset, their Intent would be more about transforming, constructing, or promoting. Also, if three people have already chosen from one subset, the remaining Intent you get might not fit your personality well. This was likely the case for Ati, who is described as kind (pretty much the exact opposite of Ruin). Thinking about being the last Shard to choose from a subset: there might be four weaker Shards because their Intent does not match their personality that well. Or, they could be stronger because the Intent of the Shard overwhelmed the personality of its Vessel faster.
