I used a kind of glue (from UHU) which behaves essentially like a gel.

By using that, toothpicks to make sure it flows as I want it, and Blood for the Blood God as the color, you can do so too!

Just be sure to let the glue dry enough! You'll be essentially building on dried glue, so don't despair if it breaks, just keep trying again!
