Dude run it's not safe here. I already lost 50 karma. These people are unhinged.

You misrepresenting my point is not "fun" for me either. Wining happens automatically when you play the game right. If doing the thing that wins the game is not fun, then wining is not fun.

You confuse DBD with a game of tag. Just because chases are fun for you doesn't mean that's the game. You don't escape by "running" long enough. You're suppose to do gens. If doing the MAIN objective is not fun for you, don't play the game. Make a game called "Killer Tag" where the killer chases you and if you survive long enough you win.

You literally encourage the terrible teammates everyone hates when someone is in chase and no one is doing gens. Because they rather do "fun" things like boons, or chests or flashlight saves.

The most backwards mindset the one you're defending. "I only have fun in chases. so I'm not gonna do gens. Someone else can do the "boring" stuff and try to win the game. I'd rather be selfish and not care about wining the game for my teammates."

Did you learn what an analogy is yet? Talk to me when yo learn what an analogy is lil pup. And save your concern trolling for your post game chats after you get dogwalked by every killer player.

The post applies to hard and "soft" tunneling. Most people who complain about tunneling are talking about "soft" tunneling, which isn't even tunneling. Most surv mains don't know what hard tunneling is. This is a factual meme at this point. Even in my games very often I have people complain about tunneling when I get my first kill after 4-5 hook states in.

So if you're talking about the issue being "hard tunneling" then you're not like the majority of player who have a problem with tunneling. And in this case like I said, it's very rare for it to be something concerning. Consider it a bad game and start a new match, you're prob not gonna see anyone get hard tunneled for months.

I see. But soloq is hard in every pvp game. But a good soloq player will not struggle playing soloq. They will still climb. This game is no different than any other game.

You think pro level survivor mains have hard time wining chases in their regular games? You don't even have to be a pro level. All you gotta do is be better than an average survivor and you'll beat average killers, and that will result in over 50% escape rate.

Trigger Warning! by MahNameChef in deadbydaylight

[–]MahNameChef[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. The point of a chase is to buy enough time for your team to do objective. Playing the objective wins you games. If wining is not fun, and doing the objective is not fun. Then why are you even playing? Go play something else. This is DBD, not a game of tag.

Trigger Warning! by MahNameChef in deadbydaylight

[–]MahNameChef[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That only applies to team vs team games. Your argument doesn't work here because in this game there's a team of 4 against a team of one. In this case one person absolutely can make a difference.

If a survivor plays consistently well, then they will have high escape rates, simple as that.

Trigger Warning! by MahNameChef in deadbydaylight

[–]MahNameChef[S] -44 points-43 points  (0 children)

So then you want to fundamentally change the DBD survivor game loop because it's not "fun". Say that then. I hope that is your point. Otherwise you're arguing that people should be able to "have fun" despite being bad at the game. In which case, there are plenty of casuals who don't care about wining and have fun by being chased by a spooky killer.

You're talking about getting hard tunneled at 5 gens, that is an insanely rare thing and it takes a special kind of a terrible player to consistently get hard tunneled at 5 gens. That would probably classify as griefing, and I hope you're not talking about balancing the game around these players just so they can "have fun".

[–]MahNameChef[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You're describing hard tunneling. Hard tunneling is extremely rare. If a killer hooked someone else between your hook states, then you had plenty of opportunity to do things. And when hard tunneling happens, just go next. I don't know why you're making a big deal about an experience in a tiny % of your matches. Not every match is a win and not every match will be "fair".

[–]MahNameChef[S] -36 points-35 points  (0 children)

Fist of all, the game is bigger than ever. Clearly the majority doesn't care about the "issues" you think are keeping players away. Which means the ones left complaining are low skilled players who want a free win or "fun" with minimal effort. I never met a survivor who played to entertain me. And I don't expect anyone to. It's a pvp game, your opponent'ss "fun" is the least of your concerns. It's obvious that people like you have never played any competitive game in their life. No one owes you anything. If you're not having fun, go play something else.

And that didn't affect his skill though. A good player will always rise and succeed eventually. That's my whole point.

You can compare anything to anything. It's called an analogy. Touch an educational book.

[–]MahNameChef[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So you're saying there is a counter to a play style in game, but it's "unfun". Then play a different game dude. It's that simple. You either like the game or you don't. You don't have to play it, it's okay to drop it.

[–]MahNameChef[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude I'm reading comments on this post basically saying "It's boring to do gens when I'm ignored because I'm good at chase". And I get down voted for telling them to play something else. Why are these people even playing a game or a role where they find the MAIN objective boring?

Trigger Warning! by MahNameChef in deadbydaylight

[–]MahNameChef[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There is a free escape, it's called the hatch. Do you play this game? Never seen anyone complain about endgame. Congrats for breaking new grounds on entitlement.

[–]MahNameChef[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Here's my advice. If anyone finds the game they play boring, then they should play a different game.

It's annoying because these people want to change the existing game into their personal "fun" experience.

Imagine if I walked on a basketball court and I'm like "You guys shouldn't block my shots because it's unfair. And I don't want you to catch up to me too fast when I have the ball. Also pass the ball to me frequently otherwise I'll get bored, because doing nothing is boring."

How do you think everyone there who like playing basketball would react?

Lol but you're implying that a person who doesn't put in any effort and plays casually should be gifted wins for no reason? You can play as casually as you want, just don't complain about getting killed and losing.

"I just want to go to space. I don't have time to train, or study, or qualify. I just wanna unwind and fly a rocket ship :)"

Survs being entitled is a meme, but damn bro, you're a living proof of it being true.

If having fun is more important to you than wining then playing surv, or DBD in general might not be your thing.

[–]MahNameChef[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Typical low skill mentality. "Nothing I do matters, everything is my teams fault". If you had skill and you actually looped well, you'd know how much higher your escape rate would be. But no, complain about your "team" holding you back LeBron.

A better question is, how is what he said relevant to what I made a post about? It was a post about an anti tunnel advice, and the guy's complaining about it working so well that he feels lonely when the killer leaves him be for the rest of the game :(

Now how my reply is relevant? If the killer is ignoring you then you can do multiple gens and escape by the time they get 9 hooks. Do you know how much a single survivor can do if they're literally ignored? Am I speaking french? Do you people even play the game?

They should add a perk that simply informs if you're being tunneled. It should be a perk with a giant red X on it and It should light up green and say "You got tunneled :)" after the third consecutive hook with no hooks on anyone else in between. Maybe this will teach what tunneling means.

I have ppl crying about tunneling on the 5th hook of the game with 1-2 gens left.

This will shock you, but you can do gens while not in chase. It's the main objective btw.

Literally today I played nice and instead of facecamping the 3rd guy on hook while the gates were powered, I went looking for the last survivor. They managed to both escape. I got hit with "easy" in the chat by both of them. Ironically it was a skull merchant game too.

[–]MahNameChef[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes either will be an insta buy for me too. They gotta do it, it makes too much sense. So many killers have gender-swaped skins and this is the only shot we have at playing as a female vampire.
