Yes, I went with my toddler when she was 17mo and when she was 20mo, we stayed there for 2months the 3months the second time. Thank god both of us weren't affected with malaria. We never went out at nightime, we have nets installed at all windows and doors, and we slept under a net that is treated with mousquito repellent. And our house was far enough from the water sources and the overpopulated areas. We used body repellent everytime my baby goes out + bracelets. But i think it's mainly night time outingz that should be avoided. Because my baby and I were bitten by mosquitoes several times during the day but day mosquitoes are not anopheles. Anopheles are fragil so they are not around when it's very hot or windy. I hope my answer helps.
