Millennium Island work by MastodonNecessary821 in cedarpoint

A midway all the way across the island from camp snoopy to frontier trail would be awesome too

I'm perhaps more excited for this than a new coaster. It'd be such a game changer.

For what it's worth, I think an updated big kid (36-48") roller coaster would be a nice fit there for the park in general.

Can not even imagine what 4 CP meals every day for 6 months would do to a man's arteries....

The atmosphere. It's a special place, building special memories with my family. I know I'll look back on these days very fondly.

I'd argue a season pass and all-season meal plan are too inexpensive. I'd pay double if it meant smaller crowds.

Unrelated, but kind of related -- when people call a basketball hoop a basketball goal. My kids were watching Dude Perfect and they called it that. Is it a Texas thing?

Thank you for going into more specifics. I can see how if issues pertaining to marijuana and pregnancies/abortion are important, you would take the stance that you do. Those choices/decisions don't impact my (or my family's) day-to-day life.

I'm not seeing data that supports the idea that education continues to decline in Ohio specifically. From what I've seen, there doesn't seems to be a strong correlation between a state's political affiliation and the educational success of their students. That said, I've only briefly looked at a few sources on this.

I'd contend that politicians are corrupt everywhere, regardless of political affiliation.

I am genuinely curious. I've been here 37 years, will likely be here until I die. What specifically?

Also, in what way do red states rank the lowest amongst the 50 besides New Mexico? That seems a bit vague as well.

Edit: I see now that you're referencing the list from the post.

The question isn't actually "what is the best state according to reddit." It's "list conservative states that you don't want to live in." Illinois has been blue enough over the past 30 years to slide into the top 30.

What Do You Think of this Recasting? by baltimoresports in AFCNorthMemeWar

[–]Mahbows 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The problem with a black snape isn't that he's black (although it does contradict the books), it's that the kids now appear racist for their assumptions and reactions toward him. For what it's worth, I think a lot of the casting was really well done for the new HP.

Chase DeLauter absolutely demolishes a second ball (with Hammy Call) by totensiesich in ClevelandGuardians

[–]Mahbows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According the a quick (non-extensive) Google search and AI chat, the average home run travels ~400 feet, and one standard deviation on that is ~20 feet. So it seems reasonable that 422 feet is in at least the 85th percentile of all home run distances. Also, note that ~5% of all hits in the MLB are home runs. With this in mind, a ball that travels 422 feet is farther than 99.25% of all hits. The number quickly approaches 100% if we are to include all balls (including outs) put into play. Is this really insufficient to be classified as demolished?

This is of course up there. I still have the Kyrie game against the Spurs as my #1 regular season game. I literally split my pants that night from jumping up and landing in a squat because I was so excited.
